Watching a bit more of Elle’s latest video and she talks about how nice it is that her mug is dishwasher-friendly because she hates washing things by hand. How lazy is that?! I understand using a dishwasher if you have a family/kids and always have a big load of dirty dishes or are very busy, or something like that, but Elle is just one person who lounges around all day and I get the impression that she wouldn’t even wash that one mug by hand, even though it would take only a minute. Maybe I’m biased though because I only wash dishes by hand.

Hi, everyone! I've been reading here for a while. I used to follow Elle a couple years ago, when I was just out of college and she seemed to have the lifestyle I wanted, while sharing the same fashion sense (we have similar styles). I saw her as a role model (young, feminine, working her way as a professional woman, classy and intelligent, it was just everything I wanted to be). As the time went on and I religiously followed her channel, things didn't add up anymore. I couldn't imagine having time to do all that shopping and vlogging and all that money to spend with clothes. I was in a crazy shopping spree myself because I thought it was good as a "girl boss" could be until I realized what the hell I was doing. But as I found someone, got engaged, bought our first house and began to advance in my career, it seems crazy to spend all that time and money in clothing. I myself have a blog and I updated it once every two to three weeks because working from home has made my workload double. I simply can't seem to connect with her as before. I felt we shared quite some similarities (even though she's from a legal background and I'm in IT) and watching her old videos it was like having someone a bit older giving me advice on things that I deeply cared about. Now, it's just so empty. I really liked her in Joe era, but when I realized she was changing according to who she was dating, I stopped following her. I found her YouTube again a couple of weeks ago and when I realized she was only doing hauls and promoting her pearls and scarves, I gave up on her. I almost bought one of her necklaces but I thought it was extremely expensive, even more when converting to my local currency. She went from a sweet, friendly and relatable girl to someone so distant and out of touch with reality. I really, really hope she gets some help and put herself together, I would love to see her making nice content again and maybe even some wedding and maternity vlogs in the future! It might be asking too much, but I really hope she gets her life together.

I agree; there's nothing wrong with wanting to try something different. Perhaps if she was more honest about it, people might even be supportive. Talking about the challenges and strategies to overcome them could even be interesting content for her channel, and she could still keep the details private. I think the most she's ever revealed about her career is saying where she was a lecturer. As you said, it's natural for people to be curious. But I don't think asking questions is the same as bullying or entitlement. People can ask questions in a "feel free not to share if it's too personal" kind of way, as often seems to be the case with her.
I have one cat and he has two litter boxes to use. Yeah I think at least as many litter boxes as there are cats in the household. Does she make her two cats share the same litterbox?
Yeah she's ridiculous. She refers to herself as a "young professional by day" to market herself to professional women, because if she were just a youtuber/instagrammer peddling a side business to her followers (which she is), then she'd be indistinguishable from the gazillions of influencers doing the same thing. But then no one's allowed to ask her what she does 
Since Elle got a lot of positive feedback when showing her vulnerability in the Joe breakup vlog, she should really do the same with the rest of her life. It's sad that she has such a need to appear put together and perfect all the time. People relate to honesty. Her image and sales will continue to take a 3, 2, 1 nosedive unless she changes.
Yeah, agree. She might even be relatable. Heck, even I will be able to relate to Elle, as a highly-educated person who moved to another country who had to pivot and the struggles that came with the decision. Maybe I'm the one who should be on youtube.
But if she doesn't want to share parts of her life to the public, then it's up to her but it might be hard to sustain people's interests without her lawyer-youtuber-jeweller narrative.
