Alfie and Linda have a lovely warm friendship that could realistically grow into a relationship. I would only want that to happen if they were going to be long term though, I don’t want them ruined by constant arguments, affairs and break ups.
However, I don’t think the show will be able to resist putting Kat and Alfie back together at some point.

Alfie and Linda will be ruined when Mick comes back for the 40th anniversary of the show.

Not if its just for 5 minutes though. It annoys me when characters keep popping in and out. Either you want to be in it or you don't!!

I read that he does it cause he loves Eastenders and is grateful to them. Obviously he lives in LA, so when he's over this way visiting or whatever he calls the powers that be, and they write him in a couple scenes. I like it, it's very plausible that a family member comes, visits, goes.

My mum used to think Heather's name was Evelyn because Shirley always said "Ev" and not "Hev" oh I loved Heather and her George Michael obsession.

Kat shouting out 'C'mon you slaaaaaaags' before throwing her bouquet was perfect. Loved it.

I can't decide if I like her dress though, it's hideous but she looks good.

I hope the Jay and escort sl doesn’t turn into the same as when Daniel lost Sinead on Corrie. He had her dressed up in her clothes at one point.

Does anyone else think Alfie’s holiday is actually treatment in hospital? There was some longer shots of him after he told Kat and she kicked off last week and then tonight Linda said “you got given the all clear!”. I wonder if Kat and Phils wedding will be called off as I can’t see Alfie not telling her what Keanu said.

I think both Kat and Alfie and Sharon and Phil work better as friends. I think the dynamic between all them is really good at the moment and is somewhat realistic for adults their age who are able to have mature relationships without running back to their ex etc.

Hard agree that I am also rooting for Linda and Alfie and would love to see him back in the Vic. My prediction for next year is that George and Cindy will be back together and somehow Alfie will buy George out of the Vic and run it with Linda and Elaine (not sure where Alfie is getting this money from but it’s Eastenders, they can think of a totally unrealistic way )

ETA - Alfie needs an anchor if they do keep Kat and Phil together he can’t just be their third wheel forever and I think putting him with Linda in the Vic would work well.
But saying that, I don’t know how well George and the Knights would work WITHOUT the anchor of the Vic but I can’t see them being there long term

I thought the body in the Vic was going to be Nish, but now I think Theo. What a scary creep that guy is.

I'm here for Ian growing a pair and standing up for Bobby, I wasn't expecting him to put him above Cindy. It's funny that Bobby is the murderer and yet he's the one I feel sorry for and am rooting for when it comes to Bobby vs Cindy haha

George and Elaine have no chemistry. None. As someone else said, she looks twenty years older than him. She doesn’t work as a step mum either, not when she has grandchildren older than Gina and Anna. Plus they have only been together just over a year, so what’s with all the talk of being a strong family/no one can break us rubbish. And Elaine saying the Marbella bar sale is ‘our money’.
I think it was pointless bringing in Linda’s mum to then make her focus on another family, instead of Linda and her children. She could be anyone, it’s not like they seem close at all.
It would have been much better to stick to the original plan of Linda and Sharon running the pub together, with Alfie still there too.
