She is a doctor, and had a homebirth, so yeah, this one is pretty fair
I had a rotten, medicalised and traumatic birth. While I won't be gracing a maternity ward again, I can see why someone who is low risk and has had a baby before would want to go down the home birth route.
And to basically cut off thousands of women from that choice, because if geography, is ridiculous, and cruel
Yea I have to say she does know what she’s talking about re home birth AND has 2 hospital births to compare it to so the fact she’s a doctor for this is nearly irrelevant.
She is an ED doctor, not an obstetrician. She doesn't deliver babies or treat newborns in difficulty. .her knowledge on this area is from her own experience and reading only, not from actual medical experience/training
She can speak as a woman/mother here of course.
Yeah, so she'd see the emergency home births come in.....
They go direct to maternity unit in UK anyway. . So she likely doesn't see them.
She might see the odd random concealed pregnancy delivering but even then, they'd contact obstetric to take over immediately.
She and all these Instagram doctors sicken me with their confidence on all matters.
