Don't forget she is involved with Mayo ladies football team and she is also involved in a management / organisational capacity with the Order of Malta at local and National levels I think.
Oh yeah - that’s some amount of commitment with 3 kids. Lucky her, she must have plenty of help

Would an ED consultant be able to have private rooms the way say an ortho or gynae consultant would? Although I suppose ED isn’t exactly something you plan for or follow up for is it?
So what is it? Botox and fillers ? I know there is research for Botox for MS & other neurological issues too but I would say that’s more a brain specialist route, my consultant is a neurologist For my MS. So admin and maybe medical stuff for the sports … I don’t know I can’t see why it’s a clinic and not just an office space but maybe that’s just me

She basically said it's for aesthetic Botox/fillers. She just threw in all the crap about Botox being used in the medical field to make it all sound less superficial. I'd say she earns a good side wage from the skin stuff. She sounds like she's teaming up with another nurse who does the same stuff so maybe she'll rent the space to her and others on a rotating basis.

I don’t remember the medical term for it but there’s a condition that causes peoples hands to sweat, Botox is used as a treatment. I’d imagine it is used for other conditions as well.

I have Botox in my bladder (would rather have it in my face).

Maybe she’ll be treating sports injuries too?

I get Botox referred by my neurologist to treat Hemiplegic Migraine. I get it from the Pain Clinic in the local hospital and have had for years

Isn't there something now that new HSE consultants can't work on a private basis as a hospital consultant. Think they have to be one or the other so I'd say it's more the aesthetics side of things. Still can't work out how she is going to find the time on top of her all her other commitments and spend any significant time with her 3 young children.

She’s going to england tho to work for the nhs. That probably explains why she’s going back

This Lisa seems one unhappy woman. She seems to have got into her relationship very young. Worked hard to achieve consultant level in an extremely competitive field and had her family whilst doing so. I reckon her stint in the UK was her first experience of adulthood without the day to day of a committed study gruelling shifts and a long term relationship and children. And in a challenging exciting and fulfilling role. Must have been so liberating anc fun...but..back to Mayo. Literally grounded. Think she's depressed. Jaysus I would be.

As for the vaxx message..fine if she believes her own children shouldn't be vaxxed. Gave up long ago thinking you can change ppls minds on this but we don't just vaxx for ourselves we do it for others and if you choose not to and you have a platform influencing others just shut thr feck up and don't be telling ppl. Her colleagues must b enraged

I agree. I thought she would settle after returning from the UK and quality time spent at home is often better but jeeez she seems to have no interest in any sort of routine family life.

wow you make a lot of sense here!
Of course if you get in a relationship young & the guy is any bit older you do miss out a certain time of your life living single. She was living the single life in UK for a year! I don’t mean single in the sense of hook ups I mean she only had herself to think about, she lived by herself or with friends & had no kids to mind on her days off. I think perhaps she can see there’s more to her than Lisa the doctor, wife or mother. I hope chasing all these jobs and bits makes her happy & that she’s not instead trying to fill a void

And I’m done.
I really liked her-sensible, no apologies about putting her career first (👍👍), no nonsense etc.
but now she’s flogging Botox, not vaccinating her kids as she sees herself as a specialist (she’s not. An ED dr does not a virologist/epidemiologist make) the sooner this insta trend of drs dies down the better.

My understanding of the post you commented on was that the person was implying that an ED doctor isn't a specialists in virology or epidemiology. Not that they aren't an ED specialist.

I was obviously saying she’s not a specialist in vaccination. Jesus, do we have to spell everything out?
