Where do I start! Is your other dog ok with other dogs?
I had 2 other dogs when I introduced my last pup, we've got a utility room and made that pups place for sleeps, it was hard work introducing to my old girl, she took an instant dislike to him had to watch them all the time, good luck and enjoy the puppy time ( hard work) but 2 yrs later my then pup is settled and feels like he's been with us for years :)
Yes he loves other dogs! He’s 1 and a half so still young himself. We’ve got a crate for new pup but don’t really have another room he can sleep in on his own

I know alot of folks don't like using crates, but before I had a utility room I used them ,then took the door off and they'd still use them. You have a youngster, they should get on well, you'll probably not have a chance of a look in with pup!!! :)

I have to ask @101d, what puppy are you getting?

I'm far from being an expert, just my own experiences!
You'll be fine, your other dog is still a youngster,( good age to introduce a pup IMO) he'll have a play buddy!!
Enjoy your time with new pup, I know tis hardwork, but so rewarding too :)

Before we got our dog I was adamant that she would not be allowed upstairs, not on sofas or beds etc. 11 months in and she is allowed everywhere, sleeps on our bed and is spoilt rotten 🙈 She is a Vizsla so hardly sheds and is always very clean. I hate that 'wet dog' smell....urgh...but she is short haired and really doesn't smell bad at all (she is bathed weekly just in plain warm water, and I bought this lush dog spray that makes her smell 👌)

I am surprised at how attached I have become to her tbh. I have always been a cat person really, and the dog purchase was very much driven by my husband and kids. Ironically she is 100% my baby now and I never anticipated the love I would feel for her. I can't imagine our life without her now, and couldn't give a shiny tit if someone judges me for allowing her on our bed 🤪

my frenchie is allowed on the sofa, though he rarely ever lays on it (standing on the back of it to look out the window is a different story  ) but he isn't allowed upstairs because he's just too naughty:ROFLMAO:

Hi there, was just wondering how you've been getting on?
Hi! That’s so kind! It’s been so good so far. Dogs have been getting on so well. We had cries for the first few nights from pup, then early EARLY morning barks from our older dog, so we let them sleep together and been perfect since 🥰🥰🥰 Ralf (pup) has been so good at toilets too!! Bless em.

Our dog enjoys curling up on the sofa while we watch TV, and he always comes up with me when I go to bed and he falls asleep on the bed. Until Mr HL comes up and takes him downstairs to his own doggie bed.

I know this thread is about where your dog's sleep ( my jr is under the throw in bed with me) but my other boy needs an op this week, am so worried, with this covid I can't go in the vets with him, have to hand him over in the car park, has anyone else on here had to do the same?

My dogs were always allowed on the sofas and beds. They used to just climb up and help themselves and trying to stop them was futile. Besides, I loved having a cuddle with them when they used to greet me of a morning. I owned Dalmatians. 💜

I had to take my dog to the vet last week... I was allowed to go in while they checked her over (she’d had sickness and diarrhoea for few days). Then I had to sit in waiting room when they took her into another room to cut her nails. I hope ur boy will be ok x

My labrador sleeps in bed, he wouldn't sleep anywhere else as a puppy and never went back to his bed or the settee like my previous dog.

He takes up all the space but he's been there for me on some dark days and I couldn't give a tit about a bit of fur considering all the love he's given me. Waking up to have a cuddle with him when he's sleepy is the best.
