This whole travel agency thing is wild. Lisa and Ade are also always banging on about their travel agency thing but it looks more like a pyramid scheme where they’ll be paid for bringing more mugs, I mean folks in to the business to pay their monthly subs.

What happens with these independent businesses when the shit hits the fan like there’s a pandemic or Icelandic ash cloud. Are they ATOL protected?

I’m no travel agent but I’ve booked several Florida holidays myself online. With virgin, TUI etc online, it couldn’t be easier to just do it yourself

*sorry if this is not in order

Do you think this is why she is taking a different approach with her Disney vlogs this time?
"Strong organisation fees" ...guess putting those all those stickers in a diary has finally paid off!

Had a quick look at the website... looks incredibly dodgy to me...
No ABTA or ATOL type affiliations? The Instagram link takes you to posts - one of a British girl who invites you to join her to a meeting, which it turns out is three mums in a hotel coffee shop... it seems like an Avon, Tupperware or Anne Summers type of scheme!
Also, if you click on 'Request a Quote' the questions it asks are a bit strange... asking for your social media handle and a box saying 'comments about your quote - if any' ...surely the reason you want a quote is the most important part of the request!?!

That’s a good point.
Anyone remember when Ohana of 3’s mother in law booked a holiday to Dubai through some dodgy travel agent and they lost the whole thing?

It seems very exploitive of those not so bright. Did anyone watch the documentary on Lularoe? I know it’s a much bigger scheme, but only 1% of members made a profit.
It’s just in the best interest of the founders and not the ‘agents’. They couldnt give a shit how many holidays they sell, they just want the membership fee. Which is why these schemes always rely so much on marketing and community.

I wonder how aware Victoria is of all of this. It makes me dislike her so much more.

I could understand if they were catering more for people who wanted to visit one of the Disney resorts in Asia maybe, as that's going to take more research and planning because you're probably going to want to do things other than Disney when you're there, but they seem to be going after people who watch the WDW vloggers but have never been themselves.

As others have already said, a WDW trip can be booked by yourself in minutes! There really is no need in 2024 for a travel agency focused solely on WDW/Orlando

WFH means I can catch up on all the vlogs I'm behind on
Finally watching the travel day vlog - when you all said Kate was driving Vic to the airport and that they had different flights, in my head she was just dropping her off and then flying out the next day or something. I didn't realise she was driving them both to Heathrow to stay the night and then driving herself to Gatwick in the morning!

The website claims the 'agents' are professionals... what professional qualifications does Vicky have?
She doesn't shop around for cheap flights - only flies Virgin if she can, she's only just stayed at cheaper accommodation in the last couple of Vlogs...
Is she an expert on the App and Genie+ etc., as she never does any rides?

Curious to know the sorts of prices that they can offer. I don’t think they could underprice TUI and are they just reselling package type holidays or are they piecing things together but surely that’s risky as there can be issues with villas and things.
And why do they need to know folks social media handles when all the person wants is a holiday quote!

This is how they are professionals

and it looks like everything is booked through a portal. It’s probably the same as any affiliate based portal (referral / rewards / cashback)

I dont think it even covers genie+, dinning plans etc. it’s just booking the basics and pretending you can get a good rate.

Jen LeForgge got just over 1 million views last year and earned $12-13,000 (can't recall the exact figure). That matches your screenshot exactly where that person is also on the same views and 1K per month. If half of Vicky's views brought in 2.5K per month GBP then some of the ASMR people I watch would be millionaires and some of the aviation vloggers would be living at the ritz but they're always begging for Patreons, flogging VPNs and most of them have another source of income.

To use cult like tactics to appeal to their greed, laziness and gullibility. Then rope them is as agents and cha-ching for the few at the top.

What I’ve heard it hinges on is when you joined, those who joined YouTube earlier, have better pay per view

I've seen people trying to recruit to these independent travel companies via Facebook selling groups. Tells me all I need to know. I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole as an 'employee' or potential holidaymaker.

This could backfire on Vicky badly.

As a customer these look so dodgy. I'm amazed anyone gives them thousands of pounds and trusts them

I don't trust a 'Florida Specialist' at BA or Virgin, let alone someone that makes their marketing material up on Canva.

How can she be a travel agent and be on hand to help people should something go wrong with their holiday when most of the time she is in Florida with the time difference

Catherine showed her how to do a budget trip in the last series, shared room at Holiday inn, meals at Wendys etc? Until then she wasted so much money always staying and eating in the parks etc

Apart from the fact that she wouldn't have a clue how to resolve any issues. This is the woman who couldn't find her gate when Virgin flights transferred to Heathrow. She would be completely useless in an emergency.

Jen LeForge’s earnings are good comparison; same niche and video length.
The disney vlogger who apparently makes £2500 a month only posts 2 trips a year and has a total of half as many views.
Odd this person has much more views per trip than Victoria?
So they’re actually suggesting that Victoria may be raking in £5-£7k (?) a month. Because she lives like that, right?
I just don’t buy it unless a screenshot is posted.

User post history seems to randomly defend Victoria.

Same, booked a trip in-store with Virgin last week, walked back to the car and realised that the flights had been booked for this September and the hotels for next September (which is when we actually want to go). All 3 staff in the branch couldn't understand what the problem was when we went back in Would have booked it myself online but we wanted to do a split stay between Disney and Universal and it was blocking me from doing it online. Hate to think how bad this new "venture" is going to be.

Vicky does herself no favours- she tries to brand herself as a ditsy, almost child like figure, but then wants to be taken seriously as a travel professional- err, no thanks

She'll last 5 mins doing this. She's not even posted about it. They've got her on board cos they know she has a Disney following and is stupid. Haha.

She can't even get her videos out on time... how's she going to book someone else a holiday?
