Are you wanting to? Makes me wonder if they are accepting new registrations or posting is only allowed to those who have not been banned or closed their accounts.

TBH, would any want to join DS now when the main 3 forums have gone?
I tried to sign up a few years back, but it kept telling me that my password and username were wrong?

I find that DS members are disappointed with everything they watch, they seem to think they're a bunch of industry professionals who know everything. The ones that hang around in the Corrie episode discussions don't even like the show, they just seem sit there and ag it off for the duration of the episode.

Ah but this is part of the pleasure of watching Corrie and participating in the thread - and it is often admitted on there. Some posters say they only watch to take part in the thread! I think a lot of the comments are tongue in cheek anyway.

I thought you had been trying to join recently. After all that is happening now, perhaps it was a good thing you couldn't as so much went downhill and I still blame the inconsistent moderation for the decline.

I was one of them Red Wall voters who switched. I may yet return to Labour. I don't know.

Why switch?

My MP was Laura Pidcock. Self explanatory surely:unsure:
What I meant was why would I want to return to a party, whereby a sizable number look down their noses at you for daring to vote against them. In particular the more extreme end of the Labour spectrum.

If I was being called various names for doing so, I'd tell them to get stuffed - for good.

The last time I checked people were still free to vote for whoever they wished.

I honestly don't think that is unique to DS or Corrie or any other show.

There is a reason on YouTube why "Negative"/"Angry" reviewers do better than positive ones and why Negative articles do better than positive ones.

For example I follow quite a few Wrestling YouTube Channels and they have said the reason they do more Negative videos is they get more views they do positive ones but they sometimes don't get half the views.

People prefer the Negative stuff

On DS I often wonder why people watch Doctor Who when every single episode they just complain about it (and its the same people they even vote the episode was rubbish before it even started) but again that's not exclusive to DS I have seen pretty much the exact same thing on almost every forum I have ever been on.

I have just made my first post on the new DS streaming services board. I’d just popped in to have a rummage around the new format and saw a thread about Britbox being made available on Amazon Prime. I asked if that meant it would be available to Amazon Prime subscribers in Ireland too. I don’t understand why the BBC won’t allow us access Britbox here given we’re willing to pay a subscription fee. Anyway, I’m waffling. Point is the new set up isn’t all bad. 😀

It is strange considering Britbox is available in some other countries, such as the U.S.

Ooh really good job I never actually got around to subscribing

I really don’t understand it. It’s annoying because there’s lots of stuff on BBC I like so it would be good to have access to a catch up service for stuff I’ve missed. All the other UK channels have made similar services available here.

It looks like you have to pay extra to get it added to your Prime feed. I don’t know if it’s a better deal than just subscribing to Britbox directly.

Can you not get Britbox via your mobile phone?

Wasn't it something like 'psychoanalyst'? the psycho bit was right, anyway. 🥴
Thanks.

You made me laugh out loud (for real). 😆

Stolengoodplacejanet

I've often wondered if this was the same person as they claim to have the same profession and are both nasty vicious posters. Stolengoodplacejanet openly boasted that they would report anyone she thought were being the slightest bit misogynistic - misogynistic in her opinion.

:/
yes , she even said she had the backing of the mods to clean up the forums, talk about narcissistic , i think they have to be the worst ever , just through the amount of people they got banned on a bloody innocent thread like classic corrie

I will take a look tomorrow then thanks if it's any cheaper I may get it.

Its more the old sitcoms and stuff from the 70's and 80's I am more interested in

Although I probably have most of them on DVD anyway

Aren’t most of them already on UK Gold?

Poll threads are a big hit on DS. Personally I find the obsession with lists such as sexiest or favourite to etc etc puzzling. :ROFLMAO:

Dee123 another awful bleep. Disney must have traumatized her as a child too given her hate for everything house of mouse. lol

Also lets not forget Keyser, the guy who used to send out pervy love notes to people
He has had a few mentions on here he has settled nicely on another forum run by two older ladies who like his ways and are flattered by them. It's very icky, anyone tries to say anything about him and they create a nice barrier with their skirts for him to hide behind 🥴

You didn’t tell her ‘great post as always’?!

The hero worship was very over the top. although they soon turned on her when she said she wasn't going to have the vaccine as it was not in her opinion tested enough.
There was a couple of things that made me go Hmmmm she said every person with life-threatening covid was treated in hospital. That was not true many elderly and vulnerable were left at home to pass away without treatment. Her hospital was also putting everyone on ventilators when most other places had stopped putting people on ventilators as a matter of course, as they realised the ventilators in many cases were actually making things worse. That's why the world went from talking about ventilators to no one talking about them anymore.
