Most people who voted remain accepted with good faith that their desired outcome was not to be.

It is the likes of those minority on DS who would not accept the result and decided to act in a nasty manner.

DS forums is NOT representative of the whole UK. Just a blinkered, undemocratic section of society.

An undemocratic section whom will happily bash Trump for being undemocratic. Yet conveniently ignore they tried doing the exact same thing, by trying to overturn the Brexit result.

I call that hypocrisy.

I just don't see how it isn't a hate word. It is said with hatred, bile and is intended as a hefty insult.

I would have liked to of seen what would of happened if a Black, or Asian Brexiteer took offence to being called that on DS.

I hate the word gammon. I also hate snowflake, woke, victim shaming, large shaming etc etc. They’re all such lazy insulting ways of avoiding explaining exactly why you disagree with somebody’s point of view. I also hate “speaking your truth”. What the feck does that even mean?

I loathe it when debate is replaced by people flinging a load of meaningless buzzword insults at each other.

I did try at various times over the last couple of years on there to point out how DS was a lopsided microcosm of real life - an increasingly thin wedge of a certain part of the political spectrum. You only had to see the poll results in the Politics folder to see how skewed it was from the real world.

And having successfully morphed the place into a nest of vipers, they then wondered why fewer and fewer people were bothering to attempt to get into political debate with them. "They don't engage with us because they're just little englanders!". Even to the very last day there were still posters scratching their heads as to how Starmer could possibly be doing worse than Johnson, having disappeared so far down the rabbit hole.

I posted rarely on DS but read the GD forum pretty much every day.

I'll miss the covid threads, the unsolved mystery thread and trivial things that... threads.

But to make up for that there are threads on here that actually make me belly laugh and some very good posters.

This is my list of DS Hall of Muppets, those whom I've grown to dislike over many years. Those that seen fit to scream abuse at others, those that have seen fit to call people names and bully FMs who have dared to disagree with them. Those that are generally nasty pieces of work and i'll hopefully never have the misfortune of encountering again.

No sh*ts are given whatsoever naming and shaming these people. Many have been happy to 'dish it out' to others over the years. Now here is their 'just deserts'.

FMs in BOLD are ones whom have exceptionally annoyed me.

With muppet Mivi. Their comment wasn't removed, nor any action was taken by the so called 'mods'. How on earth could such a comment be allowed to escape any form of punishment?

Imagine the outrage if some dared post the same about those who voted remain. There would have been page after page of condemnation.

I was one of them Red Wall voters who switched. I may yet return to Labour. I don't know.

I only mentioned they have finally gone as I don't think DS gave an exact time or date, just sometime this week.

The Politics forum never appealed to me, but I used to enjoy some of the GD threads. I noticed in recent months fewer FMs were posting there, and stupid and pointless new threads were being made. All a sign of the changes to come, or those that have now happened.

I suspected they are the same person under different usernames.

However, Janet hasn't been seen for a while, with Angelclaire taking over in a near identical manner from where Janet left off.

Angelclaire can F.O, if she thinks she can continue to disrupt threads in the manner she has done. Resulting in good FMs getting a ban.

Are you wanting to? Makes me wonder if they are accepting new registrations or posting is only allowed to those who have not been banned or closed their accounts.
