Phew! Made it to the bottom of the list without my name appearing. . I’m sure I’m on some people’s lists though as I have had the odd spat on DS.

Oleo Strut the biggest nobsack DS has ever had makes James2001 look like a saint and another one who listens to LBC because he hates the presenters.

Oleo and Banglaturd will not know what to do when GB News and LBC are broadcasting together, pair of wankers.

Unless somebody has posted something totally outrageous or threatening I’m totally against reporting posters to the Mods. It just smacks too much of running to teacher to tell tales. Adults should be able to sort out their differences between themselves. Or just ignore each other if they really can’t interact without fighting.

It is very rare I report anyone. I did report one post a few months back from a certain poster for downplaying pedophilia. I can't remember the last time I did other than that.

Yes, one of the most frustrating aspects of dealing with her was that her nasty posts would magically disappear and the other person would be warned and/or banned leaving her to play victim. I almost (stress "almost") feel sorry for her (him?) because she obviously has some issues.

I know what you mean. I worked with a woman who lost her daughter through a motorbike accident. I didn't know her at the time but it happened about three years before she started with us. I personally don't think she had ever grieved properly for her daughter - apparently she went into work the day after it happened and didn't take any other time off except for the funeral. She was a nice woman and generally very kind but could also be a complete witch on occasions and was over sensitive so the smallest thing would have her raging or in tears. If you pointed out anything she had done wrong, however nicely you put it, she would take it to heart and accuse you of picking on her. I've often wondered if that's a similar situation with Tanya and have felt sorry for her in that respect as losing a child would be unimaginable but I could be completely wrong. Having said that, she doesn't endear herself to people.

Did she lose a child? I know of two posters that were on CH4 forums who also lost children.

Except they didnt. One was a liar and the other wasnt a sock puppet of another poster pretending to be a grieving mother.

Monalisa62003 is a very unpleasant person who you should not be fooled by. If you crossed her on the forums she would magically be able to locate you on Twitter or Facebook and would start harassing you. She was banned for causing all kinds of tit but then when the mods allowed all previous bannings to be lifted she was able to get back on. I can't say if she has learned lessons since but back in the day she was a horror. I even think the BBC intervened at some point because she had been harassing cast and crew of Eastenders.

I don't mind people having opinions that differ to mine. That is your right, and I respect that.

What I do mind is people telling me my opinion is wrong because they say so. With the host of names thrown at you for expressing a differing opinion:

'Gammon', 'Racist', 'Xenophobe', 'bigot', to name a few.

That isn't free discussion at all. It is someone else forcing you to agree with their POV by any ways and means possible.

She was an absolute nutcase.

This is my list of DS Hall of Muppets, those whom I've grown to dislike over many years. Those that seen fit to scream abuse at others, those that have seen fit to call people names and bully FMs who have dared to disagree with them. Those that are generally nasty pieces of work and i'll hopefully never have the misfortune of encountering again.

No sh*ts are given whatsoever naming and shaming these people. Many have been happy to 'dish it out' to others over the years. Now here is their 'just deserts'.

FMs in BOLD are ones whom have exceptionally annoyed me.

With muppet Mivi. Their comment wasn't removed, nor any action was taken by the so called 'mods'. How on earth could such a comment be allowed to escape any form of punishment?

Imagine the outrage if some dared post the same about those who voted remain. There would have been page after page of condemnation.

I'd add Stoatie to that list. He was an absolute knobber.

You can add andykn from that EU-AZ vaccine thread to that list. Spent the entire thread refusing to budge, constantly asking for links to anything he disagreed with - and never read any of them or acknowledged them, because they all factually refuted every lie he regurgitated.

It was at times like that when DS desperately needed a chunk of moderator/users who could just spend time chilling on the forums and help maintain a better environment pro-actively. They could chime in and tell individuals they need to sort themselves out - perhaps dish out the occasional temporary thread ban till they got the message, etc.

So many endless threads were allowed to get taken over by one-eyed trolls. But the mods were only ever interested in responding to alerts against people who broke arbitrary rules - and it was often decent forum members who were just getting exasperated with the 'thread destroyers' who ended up getting warnings.

DS is probably the best example I've ever known of how NOT to moderate an internet forum.

I'm also a DS refugee. I have spotted my name here but I'm hoping people will be sound enough to let bygones be bygones . To be perfectly honest lockdown somehow made me a lot more intolerant than I thought I was. The DS forums being closed is frankly a relief.
I was going to not say anything but I would prefer people to know that I'm posting.

Whom will happily recite how the Tories destroyed the UK in the 80's but somehow forgets about how Labour destroyed the UK in the 70's.

On the other hand, some of us believe both are as bad as each other..

I've still been classed as 'far-right' by some, however. *rolls eyes*.
