It just seems like such a toxic place all round at the moment. All the Royals/Morgan/Covid threads are just stacked full of nasty/aggressive/hateful comments. Of course nothing is done... but God forbid someone bumps an old thread, then they all want the mods to step in.

It is rather pathetic of DS that one thing they aren't prepared to do is backup their moderation decisions by allowing the right to reply. This is a sure sign that they are aware that many decisions are arbitrary and not at all based on their own T&Cs.

It does'nt help that the moderation is completely faceless. Unlike on other forums where the mods/Admins are marked as being those rolls.

Gosh, Boo Radley 75 is just awful, aren't they?

They seem to infect any thread I've ventured into lately on DS with this know-it-all attitude and sense that everyone must bow down to them; shouting at users for starting a thread that don't like and just generally being a pathetic excuse for a human being. Heaven forbid you have a different opinion to them - political or otherwise - as they'll make you know how wrong and scummy you are.

They are a dreadful, dreadful user and yet another who seems to get away with some truly terrible things and yet others have been banned for far less.

The decline of DS is down to the likes of Boo Radley75 who think they own the world and it should bend to their world view.

I don't mind him, but he can be frustrating to debate with as he has a tendency to miss the point and resort to sarcastic jibes.

I'm really fed up with Tanya1982. She is such an argumentative pain in the arse.

I'm thinking so... I only read the last dozen or so posts... The thing that struck me was despite being hospitalised with Covid (I presume) she was together enough before she went into hospital to write down all her passwords for social media sites should anything happen to her? Yes, I had a bunch of alerts from several threads some months ago. The mods allow/support racist insults directed at forum members as long as the insult-er is a self-labelled left winger. It gives them license to say what they want. Some chap called BanglaRoad, for example, plus others. Yet I’m the racist, apparently.

She’s more than likely a fat chain smoking stay at home mother in her late 30s without a pot to piss in nor has anything better to do with her life so, puts on her fake online persona to make herself feel better by pretending to be an upper class yummy mummy who all the local husbands want an affair with.

I get the impression that she is a woman in her 30s with a teenage son. I also believe she was married to a greek guy and had another son and they were both killed. As for the rest of it, I think it is probably 15% truth and 85% fantasy - I've noticed she'll quite often respond to something with a very short answer but then come back an hour or so later with a long and detailed post about the topic so seemed like she'd looked it up. Also all the expensive clothes, shoes, perfumes, etc. that she claims to have, they're all the sort of thing that would be advertised in a glossy magazine with a write up about the product. She knows too much about too many things to actually know that much about anything if that makes sense.

Aah, dear Tanya must finally realise DS posters are no longer buying her BS on the usual threads she manages to control. Now she is posting on the Food & Drink thread. Hopefully that won't last long as posters there are not interested in reading about boring chicken breasts and only eating kiwi fruits for lunch.

I'll assume you've managed to avoid some of the more extreme posters there then. It's not in all threads, there are still some really great posters there which is why I still contribute but I'm very select these days. There really are some nasty, vindictive posters there though and most of them seem to be supported by the mods which is perhaps the biggest gripe here.

Madam Witchy - Post of the Day - Until you have encountered so are fully aware what is happening on certain DS threads, you would never know the darkside of DS.

You go into a supermarket to buy an essential item, eg bread. They also sell pot noodles, and you like them. Are you supposed to ignore them? I don't consider going in specifically to buy PNs an essential item.

There are actually some (not just on DS) who think that way. I remember one poster in the Coronavirus thread proudly proclaiming that she hadn't brought any non-essential items in the shops since early last year, which is way OTT.

Why? Pot Noodle =75p Take away Noodles £4.50...think about it. Not everybody can afford it.

I think you may have missed the satire in my post.

I have never said anything in here I wouldn't have said to certain DS members 'faces' so I don't care if they read it or not. I couldn't tell them on DS because I'd have got banned. (obviously )

A real annoyance about Digital Spy is that it takes a while for a thread to get going. A new thread which sounds quite interesting will normally go like this -
