Does anyone remember a poster called PamelaL? She was a regular years ago and was an Australian woman living in the U.K. She used to post all the time and then just stopped randomly. I often wonder what happened to her.

She joined DSU ( forum before DTV ) she was posting on both for a while then only DSU/DTV then stopped posting there when it became just another DS spinoff.
That's the trouble with those forums that talk about DS members, someone will tell the member and they will join, then before you know it there is no difference between either forum. The lunatics take over the asylum. Dogs has gone the same way, its now no different from DS, its just DS with sweary words same as DTV was in the end.

I've just emailed them and given them 14 days notice of referring them to the data commissioner if they don't delete every trace of my long banned account, including all posts that quoted mine.

My argument is that I don't want a username I use to be associated with a platform which encourages intolerance and hatred.

Out of interest, does anyone have any stats on DS and it’s traffic now compared to.. say about, five years ago? I can’t remember who said it and it must have been a fair few pages back now but someone mentioned DS is probably busier than Tattle. I didn’t give it much thought at the time but thinking about it now, I’m not sure if that is true. Going by the “live” posts constantly updating upon refresh here and seeing the number of registered active users (and then the additional unregistered guests visiting) this site seems a lot busier to me. But i guess it’s hard to tell because DS doesn’t have the same features that show how often threads are updating. a quick glance at their forums main page suggests threads aren’t as active as they are here but there are more sub forums spread out. Hard to say I guess but I’m curious if there’s a way to find out.

I'm sure they don't help themselves by basically making it pretty impossible to join. Their policy of approving accounts is quite silly. If someone new to the forum registers and then has to wait 24 to 48 hours for them to do whatever checks they think are necessary to "protect" their odd little enclave they are quite likely to lose interest anyway.

Yes, i4u seems to have crept over to the Steve Allen thread from the main LBC one and is causing misery there now too. All negativity and cancel culture poison. I don't think they've realised that the Steve Allen brand is just for entertainment and gossip column scandal.

i had a personal issue with the mods, i caught them lying over posts i had made, they said i posted things that i never and i had screenshots , they thought deleting them would make it easy , so for me reporting the trouble makers was my way of showing the mods i knew what they were doing.

Believe me over the last 2 years i had proof of the mods not taking action anyway, so its nothing to do with genuine alerts werent taken seriously , they would ignore certain reports on certain FM's , the posts i reported were genuine rule breaks, after testing out my theory i thought fuck it, i will spam the report button

Believe me i had screenshots of rule breaks over the last year that i reported and nothing was done , and i was then warned over a same rule break they ignored when i reported it , if the mods on there were regulated i had enough to get some sacked, but they arent regulated by anyone so the mods do what they like , so i ended up doing what i like before i got bored.

Its not me thats to blame, the mods are to blame, they have ignored genuine alerts over responding within seconds when they get a woke alert, its the way its run thats the problem , not FM's like me they took the piss out of

Thank you for coming back to fully explain your situation. Unfortunately it seems like nothing has changed, it seems to have become even worse. I also keep saying I no longer trust the DS mods, something changed in the last few years and not for the better.

yes , i think i saw it was your post mentioning her that reminded me, to be able to threaten everyone and say she had the backing of the mods was well out of order, and the mods didnt do anything, any normal person and they would be banned, its the idea that the mods warn/ban some and do nothing against the real trouble makers

Fairyprincess has got away with writing some really creepy shit. It does seem that certain posters have a "protected" status, for whatever reason.

I don’t mind not knowing who is who, I think it’s happened on this thread already, well, for the second thread at least anyway. As long as the condescending attitudes stay away! I can’t imagine baiting and being downright rude to people will go down here too well though and those that try it will get short thrift IMO.

I hope you are correct. I watched certain DS threads disintergrate before my eyes when I could no longer address certain comments. When I mentioned posters changing their original names to other DS members, it is because this seems to be a fairly decent forum so I hope it is not ruined by the 'Usual Suspects' from DS. As you rightly said, I doubt they would get away with what they did on DS here.

Do you know what I dislike the most about that thread? It's the smugness and the dismissive nature of so many of their replies. There's no discussion. It's their opinion and that's that. If you disagree you're a racist gammon and yet if you look at the last few pages they're patting themselves on the back for how much better the thread is these days and how objective they are.

AVForums has hit 200 new users in one day. I doubt DS has had that many join in the space of a year.

One of them is Occy how on earth did he manage to navigate to av forum I doubt he can tie his own shoelaces.

I always thought DS was the bigger site but I'm not so sure. I was pleasantly surprised when I took part in a poll here and saw how many posters had taken part. I don't think I'd seen anywhere near those numbers on DS. Also I think there are quite a few threads here that get to 50 pages very quickly and regularly. Just from what I've noticed since I started posting on Tattle, there does seem to be quite a bit of traffic here.

I for one am posting a lot more on here than on DS these days.

Aww that’s sad to hear I enjoyed POP and bettys chat! Was she bettycat? I remember DSU as well but dont think DTV was about. I basically changed jobs in 2007 and no longer had free reign on forums with a corner seat and a hidden screen so fell away from it all until I found Tattle.

Yes, she was Bettycat. DSU (digital spy uncut) was the first forum but they change platforms and lost everything in the move, (some juicy stuff on there ) They named the new one DTV and moved away more from the DS stuff, trouble is half of the DS members they talk shite about had joined to read what they had said about them, they stayed and they become like the DS they hated. Should have left that bit public and it might have stayed a good forum.

DS really declined over the years, it was once great fun but now sitting reading it brings you down, so depressing, anyone trying to raise the tone gets jumped on pretty fast.

For purely selfish reasons, I'm not too bothered about DS imploding as I'm a banned poster because of how ridiculous the moderation became, so haven't been able to post there for a while, but I feel for those who who still can. I still sometimes read GD and it's interesting as now an outsider to notice certain posters and their traits when unable to jump in. More importantly though, it was a DS friend who introduced me to TL so I could have somewhere to post again. Now I hope some of those horrible DS FMs don't come here. Thankfully it seems if they do, no nonsense will be allowed - fingers crossed

I fully agree, too many posts and too many alerts in just 9 months, I say again, s/he is a bot or just a sad person living out their fantasies.

Personally, I think that whoever posted as Lucien De Ville now posts as Tanya. The posting style has been refined over the months that they've been posting because it started out very similar to Lucien. I got put in forum jail for pointing that out, although all I actually did was quote one of Tanya's posts and wrote "No, can't do this. Far too familiar".
