Patdfb - I’m currently boycotting Pot Noodle because of their lack of a progressive trans policy (Clicks alert)

CRM - Pot Noodles have been shit since Johnson. Why doesn’t he just die!

Jjwales - What do you mean by Pot Noodle? What do you mean by eat?

OldHippyGuy - The Tories stole my Pot Noodle

SmudgesDad - The English prefer Chicken and mushroom, Scots prefer Sweet N Sour. Just another reason why the union is doomed.

Moanylisa - See above. With added swear words.

Ahh a Corbyn supporter then. Got ya!

Is that not objectifying?
walterwhite - Pot Noodles are shite. Why not have real noodles from an authentic Chinese restaurant instead?

I remember on DS there used to be a lot of self proclaimed ‘ nice guys’ who used to spend their days making thinly veiled misogynistic posts about how awful women were for not wanting to sleep with them on account of their being so ‘nice’. They were also very prevalent on the Showbiz and Big Brother forum accusing all women of being jealous of any woman they thought was physically attractive but disliked, because obviously we all hate each other and are in constant competiton for these nice guys attention.

There were frequent threads about male rape and sexual assault by women, but never mentioning the fact that men are far, far more like to to be raped or assaulted by other men. They also had problems with women only charity events like Race for Life, despite the fact that there are male equivalents. I bet they are having a field day with this Sarah Everard ‘Reclaim the Streets’ stuff.

Ds is in fact a real hot bed of misogyny in the way that Mumsnet is a hotbed of man bashing. I’m so glad to be out of it.

A definite Bangla clone
It's quite fascinating, people who live in the uk & hate the place. Everybody has the right to criticise the powers in charge, laws etc, but to be constantly negative about your country takes some doing.

I scrolled through GD the other day and was struck by how many Doom and Gloom Covid related threads there were. There was literally nothing light-hearted or fun. I remember all the inane threads from a couple of years ago started by enudzio(?) They were slated at the time, but they always got the discussion going and there were some genuinely funny ones.
I liked his threads. some were very interesting and got us chatting. Way too many people moaned that they didn't every stay once the thread was posted. Who cares?

I would rather 20 enudzio than one walterwhite, Jason .Jurassic, and the rest of those idiots

He or she will be here via one name or another but I don't think the Tattle mods or members will put up with the nonsense and personal attacks on other members. I think TL will see a growth in members shifting from DS here in the very near future...mark my words.

I don't think DS had much choice other than shut down some sections but I am surprised they are leaving so much up to read as archives...they'll have to go sooner rather than later. Maybe its a case of leaving them their to allow angry members time to cool down and ween off the hate.
It has already happened since the DS announcement. However, I have only seen Dogs and AV mentioned so far and thankfully not TL ... yet ...

I always use an ad blocker on DS. I've also stopped reading the articles on DS too because they're so many of the have some sort of message or pc angle.

The worst site to use without an ad blocker by far is The Daily Mail. Absolutely no idea how anyone looks at that site without one. Horrendous. Obviously having adverts generates income but it's counterproductive if you don't read the site in the first place because of the ads.

Has anyone seen this trust pilot page and comments about Digital Spy?
LOL , i posted a real scathing review last year, i'm happy to see people are carrying it on

I told the mods they should have a look at DS forum reviews on trust pilot :D , they ignored me, they are so woke that they just bury their heads in the sand , their forum is falling down around them and they do nothing

most of the people left apart from a small percentage are just horrible FM's , the way they reply to each other is just horrible, and if you get a decent thread with good FM's then you get the same people turning up twisting posts just to get a woke argument going

This has just been posted by Support....

Hi

We are making some changes to Digital Spy Forums. In the coming days we will begin rolling out updates that will bring the forums more in line with our editorial website and help refocus our discussion platform.

Starting this week, we will begin making changes to the forum index by updating, archiving and adding to our discussion boards.

We will be putting three of our existing forums into read-only mode. Showbiz, General Discussion and Politics will no longer be listed on the main forum index and will be moved to our new Forum Archive. Forums moved to the Forum Archive will no longer be active and will not be able to receive new threads or posts, but they will still be accessible to read and search.

A new Streaming forum will be added to our TV category. This will be the new home for discussion surrounding every show, movie and original available on all streaming platforms. Right now these discussions are largely spread across UK TV Shows, US TV Shows and Cult, Sci-Fi and Fantasy TV Shows — by creating this new forum we hope to consolidate these discussions and bring focus to all of this content in one place.

We will also introduce new dedicated forums for Married at First Sight and RuPaul's Drag Race.

Chatter, which currently sits as a sub-forum in General Discussion, will be rebranded The Games Room and sit next to Advice on the forums index page.

Online Entertainment Services, which is currently listed on the main forum index, will become a sub-forum in the new Streaming forum.

We will also be creating a new Forum Announcements forum on the main index that will be a read-only forum for site updates, our Community Guidelines, our FAQ, a changelog and any other necessary information relating to DS Forums from Support.

You will also see quality-of-life improvements and updates in relation to forum names, descriptions and other areas of the forum as we continue to evaluate the community and refocus our platform.

Thank you for reading,

Digital Spy Forum Support
Downsizing?
Politics forum to be 'read only" 😂

God Landis is reaching peak insuffrability in the Shamima Begum thread. Even resorting to the meaningless, “what if it was your daughter” argument. Well if she was my daughter one of the first questions I would ask myself was what went so badly astray with my parenting that she would think that moving to a violent theocratic gang would be a viable life choice. I was an unapologetic knobber at 15, but even I would have known that was a bloody stupid idea.
He types loads without really saying anything. It's like he's replying to voices that only he can hear in his head.

Diesigal mentioned a couple of times on there that she grew up and lives in the Republic of Ireland. From time to time she used quote names and phrases that she'd hear voiced in the vernacular. I haven't been on the LBC thread to see, but maybe it's something to do with that.
I would like to think it was that, but no, she's just being an obnoxious annoyance. She knows English well enough when it suits her.

I had read elsewhere that Sierra/Aurora is the same poster. Just seen the thread and it certainly looks that way. I can't imagine that anyone would want to defend the angry waffle that Sierra has been posting. At this point I don't know what they are even arguing for or against.

It amazes me the sheer rage that comes with these early morning radio/tv show threads. The Jeremy Vine one bursts with rage at times... who is that angry so early in the morning?? Some of them need to have a cup of tea and put CBBC on for a while... although I'm sure they'd end up being just as angry.

Was she the one who was soliciting via PM?
Hahaha I don’t know about that but I remember reading the ds forum awards on the soaps and she was passing really inappropriate comments publicly! She was saying that she doesn’t mind being passed around like a plate of chips and things like that 🥴 one of the other posters called her out on this

I think I might ask to have all my posts and account deleted too, my last account wasn't a well known one in the forum but if a majority of us make a point that we don't want to be associated with such a hate filled forum then they might start to see their problems.

I don't know this poster, but I agree with certain posters being untouchable. It seems to be widespread on DS now, not just contained to a few threads. Again this makes me think that many mods are also active DS FMs who protect their own and ban those who dare to question them and are not part of their inner circle.
Well the cause of the amusement is that patdfb is a trans woman who many would consider one of the untouchables herself. Certainly if you use the discussion started metric as an indication she is one of the most prolific alerters on DS. And every thread she frequents does tend to leave a trail of banned users in her wake.

It’s not lost on me that they are now starting to eat their own. Maybe DS should rebrand as Cannibal Island?

I don't believe some posters are also mods but I do think that some posters flag things up just for the sake of it. I had to laugh when I was posting on the TV forum thread about Wolf Hall and mentioned that Anne Boleyn was eventually beheaded. The post was removed and I got a warning from the mods about posting spoilers!! 😅
LOL. In other news the Titanic sinks....

I remember your username and posts! I chucked it for the same reason as you. Showbiz was excellent back in the day.
Showbiz was brilliant back in the distant past, now it's nowhere near as active.

When I last checked they had already decided it wouldn't affect them. Bangla will just have to keep all his nastiness to one thread now and there's no one left there to get banned.
Good grief imagine him & GeorgeS over here - doesn't bare thinking about.
No doubt Mamma Fangirl is keeping them updated:

I had a quick gander at the politics section on AVforum. It’ll come a quite a culture shock for a few of the more .... delicate..... denizens. The first thread I read was about the Labour leader which was basically one long pisstake on Corbyn and Labour politicians. The kind of thing that would have suffered death by alert on DS.

And am I the only one who is quite worried about James2001? He’s suffering a proper meltdown. Although part of me thinks “couldn’t happen to a nicer guy”.

Is it just me or is the posting style there always aggressive & confrontational? I don't know why everything is so angry all the time and why people are so wound up if someone says something they don't like? I have to wonder what many of these folks are like in real life. Obviously politics & general discussion attract nutters but some people act so uptight over reality TV FGS.

We don't agree on everything 100% here but it's never aggressive and I've never felt bad after posting on here (or any other non DS forum), whereas I quite often got a bit flustered after a DS disagreement.
Before I was banned after many years, that thread had always had lots of disagreements, but no way like the aggressive confrontations you rightly mention. I suppose it doesn't help when you have a Teflon 'leader' who protects all his little minions as they agree with every word he says.

Yes, it is very much a worry what these people are like in real life. No doubt their families and friends believe the sun shines out of their backsides.
