She (I think) used to post a lot in the Big Brother forums years ago and I always got the impression that she was an american living in America. Now, from what they say, they obviously live here - am I wrong about them being an american?
I didn't realise she was still posting. I remember her being a regular in GD about 10 years ago. I'm not sure if she's American or not. I don't remember her making any mention of it.

Now while I would usually welcome a new user to these parts and share a moan or two about DS and it’s numerous foibles with them and the rest of us, I feel I can’t do that with a certain new user sadly.

So I think that signals my time is up on this part of Tattle...

Yes I could be more of a grown up and just accept them on here but when I experienced quite nasty and personal messages at their hand on DS, there’s absolutely no way I want to spend any more time around them.

It’s petty, it’s childish, but it’s for my own good really and that’s what matters most - in these times more than ever.

Maybe I’ll see some of you around elsewhere on Tattle and for now I’m still on DS (for my sins), so I’m not going for good.

Toodles! 🙂
Why not just block? (I’ve never blocked so I don’t know how it works and what you can and can’t see)

Well, interesting development. I said in another post here on TL that the DS mods watched what was posted here and within an hour of my last post here found this when I went to log in LOL No email, just banned. When the mods read this please feel free to get flucked :)

Wow. That is a development @neo_wales.

Did you have the same user name over at DS?
If @neo_wales does, than I wouldn't be surprised if walterwhite is behind this banning.

Won't be the mods it will be the alerters who read this to see if we talk about them.
The ones who have discussions on their account but no discussions to view that means they have reported to a mod.
This is such a misconception that has been bandied about in the last few months and I blame Jason for starting it - twice. Both times the threads were deleted.

There are many reasons to report a post to the mods/support, not just trying to get another FM banned.

Incidentally if any of the paid mods who have been sacked by a ruthless, heartless Hearst management and would like to spill the beans on your years of torture having to read the shite that.

We are all ears spill your guts, vent your spleen to us.

Looks like somebody set up a copycat of DS

No posts yet, don't really see it taking off
When I got banned from DS I tried making a new forum with another member but no one would move over and join it is a fruitless task to even try.

At one time a poster called LostPigeon* would have asked "What is your lover's favourite Pot Noodle flavour?"

*Does anyone remember him?

I suppose in the end, it depends on somebody reporting it. In fairness the mods can't monitor every thread.
Of course you can there are 33 subsections most of them lifeless generally, you just click on the subsection look at the titles of any thread that has been added wouldn't take them 5 minutes it's their job to look for problems not for the users to do the job for them.

I have to laugh as before we became friends then were both banned from DS, I used to think every other poster was this person. It is so easy to see want we want to, then try to read between the lines.

I still think there are many posters who either just appear to post like other FMs, or they really do have more than one ID on DS.

What’s the misconception? When someone reports a post to a mod it makes their thread count go up. That’s true.

Also, I can’t think of any real reasons to report a post other than finding it offensive. The trouble is, finding a middle ground between something that a collective group would agree is genuinely offensive and should not be allowed and something that a fringe minority personally finds offensive should be fairly easy yet DS seems to have lost grasp of it.
I wasn't aware of the thread count increasing, I thought it was just Discussions.

Shame about showbiz. In its heyday it was a fun place to be. I never used politics forum and the general discussion forum when I used DS was full of cliques so didn’t really post in there either - it did seem to be very well used though.

Prepare for the influx of posters you left DS to get away from... I wouldn’t be shocked if people who have been slagged off on this thread pop up now 😂 oh what a mess! (Not Tattle, DS that is)
How will we know? Most of us change our names. I know I did, although I'm not that bothered about anyone knowing my DS handle. It was more a case of being bored with having the old one for 17 years! 😞

I see the furry numpty James2001 has got himself entrenched in the Donald Trump thread.
I see he has stopped crying about missing the furry convention last year finally.

I know who you mean. She is a bit of an irritant I'll admit but I've definitely seen her openly admit to having learning difficulties on DS, so I hold back on any annoyance I get from her as it simply wouldn't be fair. No doubt some of the awful sewer dwellers of DS would disagree with that though!

I think while the content of her posts is hardly of any interest ever, it's the frequency of it that gets me more than anything else. She's not spamming, she's not trolling. She's just....not interesting.....I feel bad for her and bad for how I feel about her, but I just like to see a little depth in people's posts - a bit more than 'I like that' or 'I didn't like that'.
A perfect summation. She seems very pleasant and is always upbeat, but like you, I would also love to read a bit more than the brief comments she posts.

DS is also very touchy on subjects like Madeline McCann. Start a thread on the subject, and it's immediately wiped from existence.
That is part of the problem, too many banned subjects, this is why the Katie Price threads are not really allowed anymore because
they all end up the same way so she isn't allowed to be talked about.

Same goes for a number of subjects which kinds of defeats the object a tad.

There are some posters on there who sign off there posts with a Signature of some sort. And don't even get me started on the American Woman who always ends with ''God Bless!''
