I know, I replied to the mods and mentioned the number of people who had posted names of other forums and asked if I could mention the name of the forum without linking to it.

Shockingly I got no reply:)

Not possibly, he most certainly is. I believe he is in his 50s though not 40s

If they gave an amnesty and changed admin then maybe DS could recover. but as it is all the main posters are boring or like walterwhite who adds nothing to the forum except trying to bait others into a ban. Try saying anything other than the narrative there and you are jumped on until you give up posting on a thread.

No point in an amnesty as the current lot would just get you banned again and you would be feeding their desire to do it.

I have been on all of the DS "spin off" forums at some point.

I don't know why I bother posting sometimes... I've just posted on the soap forum an answer to someone's question. Not 3 posts later, the poster who seems to think they control the thread has repeated virtually word for word what I said. I'm fairly sure any further discussion on the subject will now centre around this poster (not that I'm particularly bothered because I don't really go on there for the discussions but it would be nice to be acknowledged!) and my contribution will roll like tumbleweed🙄

This whole thing is reminding me of when the old Fametracker forums imploded and the mods jumped ship and it was a glorious free for all for 24 hours of everyone just saying what they’d been wanting to say for so long. It was amazing. I think I spent an entire day at work watching it all play out.

Anyone else remember that or am I really showing my age?

So many words, so little content. The 5 week gap has been explained over and over and over.

For crying out loud - it is scientifically impossible to assess what the easing of one set of restrictions does to R,

and having a dig at the sleeping dogs forum as well: I don’t flounce. (It’s funnily enough something dogs which aren’t awake do a lot)

I loved the amateur lawyer jibe that NashvilleJ got in. That looks like another poster who has SM's card and is standing up to them!

Should have left that bit public and it might have stayed a good forum.

DS really declined over the years, it was once great fun but now sitting reading it brings you down, so depressing, anyone trying to raise the tone gets jumped on pretty fast.

Why and when did DTV shutdown? Decline in visitors?

I would visit DTV multiple times a day then suddenly I just stopped and a few weeks ago I thought I'd try and find it again but obviously it no longer exists.

I think I remember it being quiet, that's why I must've stopped visiting as when I first joined the DS thread was just as busy as this one. Don't remember when it closed though, did it close down recently or in the last 4 years?
