me too after 10, i was glad it says deleted user, makes me very happy to see, i did ask last year and they had to cheek to say they keep the profile up with BANNED next to it, no chance i'm having petty people like whedonit she was the one who got rid, looks better with deleted user on it, i bet more people will do it now

I am also a banned poster after many years. I'm not happy about it but I don't mind my profile now showing red. I have a good idea who the posters were behind it. At least I have found this forum instead and it is far more liberal than what DS has become.

I'm not sure 'Deleted User' showing under a profile is any better - Banned or Deleted - either way you can no longer post on DS. Does it really make a difference who does or doesn't know?

I liked blueblade because of his love for animals, cats in particular. I wasn't there when he got banned so not sure what he did wrong.

Yeah, blueblade was okay. I don't remember what he got banned for.

I like TerraCannis. He comes across as a very reasoned chap. Also got on very well with Lucy Van Pelt despite some of the negative things said about her.

I've seen it referenced over on the Sleeping Dogs forum. I don't know about DS, probably not as any discussion about sites like this one gets deleted.

For purely selfish reasons, I'm not too bothered about DS imploding as I'm a banned poster because of how ridiculous the moderation became, so haven't been able to post there for a while, but I feel for those who who still can. I still sometimes read GD and it's interesting as now an outsider to notice certain posters and their traits when unable to jump in. More importantly though, it was a DS friend who introduced me to TL so I could have somewhere to post again. Now I hope some of those horrible DS FMs don't come here. Thankfully it seems if they do, no nonsense will be allowed - fingers crossed

Maybe that's a DS plot to get rid of the trouble makers and clean up the forum. Risky business though

I've posted about DippyDi here before, but I didn't mention the username. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed DippyDi's strange posts, because other posters here were talking about certain DS members.

I remember some of her posts were a bit far fetched , she made posts on DS whilst apparently :
- preparing dinner for in-laws
- drinking champagne in French hotel
- in a traffic jam and the traffic was starting to move

She said weird specific stuff which women wouldn't usually boast about, such as being catcalled by workmen whilst eating a Cornetto in a park.
She was a lesbian, but way she described herself reminded me of a male fantasy of a lesbian.

Another DS member I found odd was Frazer_Young. He also seemed like a troll to me.

A few months ago he [Frazer_Young] did what must be his 4th Flounce - but making sure we all knew about it beforehand. If I am right and he has mental health problems, then I apologise. I am always dubious of FMs who have to announce they are leaving - just do it. I suspect they hope other FMs will plead with them to stay

There is an FM who seems to appear everywhere, mainly on the TV threads, yet rarely has anything of interest to say. I won't mention 'her' name as I believe she may have learning difficulties. In fact, it is a shame as I've noticed many FMs with high post counts must be housebound as there is no way they good post as often as they do if they are able to get out for a few hours. The same applies to FMs who maybe have mental health issues, so posting on DS and and any other forum could be the only time they 'speak' to someone.

I have a feeling I know who you are talking about and totally agree that if they do have difficulties, I'd rather not say anything negative. Mostly just skip their posts.

You're probably right about the high profile posters, maybe the lockdown hasn't helped with that for some though.

Is that standard practise now? Pretty sure when I joined many moons ago I literally signed up and started posting immediately. I know most forums have a policy of not being able to post links straight away but never known one where you have to wait to even post.

Yep absolutely standard. Each account has to be approved and you get no posting rights until they do.

Loads of people on Dogs Sleeping have reported problems signing up new accounts after they have been banned, which suggests that DS are also being very naughty in collecting information about users which they shouldn't be (ie. not just a tracking cookie or an IP address but something "deep").

In all serious, are some DS Labour supporters in such a fragile state mentally that they are baited/triggered by the thought that someone voted differently to them? Bloody hell when the exit poll was released on election night they must have gone into complete synoptic collapse.

I mentioned the other week that I voted leave. Still attacked after all this time. DS should have FM ages on the profile. Half the time it felt I was in full argument with a 9yo
