Anyone remember the poster moila? She was an unusual one.
Oh my god yes I remember her, there was something really strange about her.

Did a search and the first thread I found was this

Why did they close the Harry and Meghan thread? Saw it had 34 pages but now only 29 and closed.
Probably because not everyone had the same gushing opinion of them and Hearst censors everything

I still think DS is not as bad as some make out tbh
I still post on there regularly so something keeps drawing me back. It's easy to look back on things with rose tinted glasses but I still liked it better several years ago. Not sure what changed.

I've deleted my account after 17 years, load of old horse shit.
Who were you on DS? If you don't mind me asking that is (I'm a nosy parker).

I first noticed her in a thread on Shamima Begum just after she joined up and I was getting PBU vibes off her straight away. When a bolshie "new" member shows up on DS, it gives the impression that they have been there before.
Very true. No way is she a newbie who only joined DS in June 2020. Far too forward with her comments. When I was a newbie I wouldn't say "Boo to a goose" Let alone have big rants.

Its true that under data protection law no website is allowed to keep any information that may identify you on their servers. You can request this info to be removed and they have to, by law, comply. So the problem here is that once banned DS now ban your email from contacting them... which again is a law break. You have to be able to request any info they hold on you to be removed.

If someone made a big deal of this Hearst would be in trouble.
It is rather pathetic of DS that one thing they aren't prepared to do is backup their moderation decisions by allowing the right to reply. This is a sure sign that they are aware that many decisions are arbitrary and not at all based on their own T&Cs.

i was on DS and i dont think i used the report button in the first 6 or 7 years , the mods would allow you to sort it out yourselfs within reason, but then they started getting involved , so i would target the likes of whedonit , anything she posted even a little bit dodgy i would report it , knowing full well the mods would do nothing , i just like to get under their skin

Other than that i never needed to use the report as there were some decent FM's before they started banning them or people leaving as it got too woke

I've had covid and believe me, the last thing on my mind was updating social media. It is most unpleasant.

A healthy 32yo dying of covid is rare too, I'm sure it would have made the local papers at the time.
Didn't realise she had "died" I always thought of her as a troll when she was posting in GD. She always reminded me of how a man pretending to be a woman would talk.

There used to be a young female Dr on DS who suddenly died and her brother (I think) also posted about her death.
The name Stephine, Stephenie, Steff or something like that popped into my head. This was years ago.

I wonder if they would have an amnesty like last time? That would be fun 😆
I'm not sure if I want to be able to return. The LBC thread, which I mainly posted on, has become a cess-pit of spite. On the other hand, it might be worth it simply to annoy a lot of the current contributors when I pop up. I'm baaack! ;)

There was a poster who showed up in GD about a year back called StolenGoodPlaceJanet. She stopped posting suddenly before long. I've wondered if that was Tanya, they have very similar posting styles.
