I’ve had 4 accounts on DS in the past. Forum turned to shit ages ago.

I used to wind up a poster on there called DoghouseRiley. He used to obsess over his garden and a juke box he owned.

He’s probably dead now

Surrender Bill reminds me of him but I have never seen him mention a juke box so I expect I am wrong

I believe she is well travelled, it's her additional comments I don't buy. If they really are true, she should at least respect the the OP and not make a thread all about her, which she does most of the time.

Evidently not homophobic enough for the poster to be banned - shows how bad the moderation is. I thought homophobia was against the terms and conditions, obviously not if you are one of the special posters.

Not really been on DS its all so repetitive and boring. Gone are the giggles and belly laughs, I kept hoping they would come back but because of the strange moderation we are left with people who don't seem to have any sense of humour and would gladly stamp it out of you.

If they gave an amnesty and changed admin then maybe DS could recover. but as it is all the main posters are boring or like walterwhite who adds nothing to the forum except trying to bait others into a ban. Try saying anything other than the narrative there and you are jumped on until you give up posting on a thread.

It used to be more fun back in my November_Rain days. It's far too serious now but something keeps dragging me back there.

Just searched my old user name. Last active 13/13/2007 didn’t realise it was that long ago!! Just seen a thread for a game ‘celebdaq’ can’t remember if it was part of DS or just a link but I loved it. Just seeing some of the old names Kittylitter, Pru, showbizgossqueen, pairofpants. Reminded of a suspected troll graemecarter sorry for all the old memories, just enjoying looking back!

One poster who I remember was koantemplation. He had Aspergers and if I remember he had basically been unemployed for his entire life. He used to start threads that ran for pages where he would just repeat the same point over and over again. He used to drive other posters up the wall. Then just disappeared. No great loss as such, but to be drawn into on of his circular threads was a rite of passage for an unsuspecting newbie.

Mr freeze before his name change, he didn't just vanish he got banned. He was baited once too often and blew. I'm pretty sure he was the one who started the live update thread in the BB.

Does anybody remember the female poster who had a kid with a Muslim bloke? From what I remember, she was being abused or something?

I think her Myspace was found through her profile at one point?

Em? He ( the BF) went to prison if I remember rightly.

Sierra's comments earlier were uncalled for but not unexpected sadly. He/She along with a few others on the Covid thread seem to think that they are in charge of the pandemic response in the UK. I see they are already back to "Everyone thinks that it is over. I was out and saw other people out Ahhhh!!" rubbish.

On the plus side it seems Tanya is keeping herself busy in the Royal threads which is good because it means other threads can carry on for a while without her walking in all dressed up in her finery and talking about her sex life.

I think it would do SM good if he/she got banned. They are obsessed with Covid.

LOL occy is a bit challenged, i find them annoying but harmless in a way, its always interesting to have a perception of who someone is going by name and that you think someone is female and they are actually male

I get the impression occy has learning difficulties. Not their fault of course. I know they annoy a lot of people but they are essentially harmless.

On the name thing, I always used to get mistaken for a woman under my original DS name. It became a bit of a running joke after a while.

It's quite fascinating, people who live in the uk & hate the place. Everybody has the right to criticise the powers in charge, laws etc, but to be constantly negative about your country takes some doing.

iver seen occy a lot on the covid threads , they are pretty harmless , but the 5 or so self entitled heads of that thread post the same crap day in day out about death and how we will all die etc,, that i think they have got occy very nervous about it

That covid thread is a cult , i'm sure they have driven themselves mad , for 1 year they have copy and pasted the same information day in day out , if you disagree though and there are five who gang up , thats when the unpleasantness start

there is an FM called Skp20040 who has taken it upon himself to become the forums covid spokesperson , i think he thinks he is chris whitty

Then there is moseshorler , who is one of the slyest forum members , , they never wrong type of person

an FM called occy has lost her mind, they have been brainwashed by them so much it has scared them to near panic

I dont think i will ever miss it , i am pushing for them to delete my profile , i asked last year but they said all they can do is block you signing in and leave a banned notice on the profile, ive said you have no rights to treat my profile that way because its false information, plus the petty fm's will be laughing thinking they have got rid of another,

i will try and get these mods into trouble some how , ive contacted the top boss at Hearst and digital spy themselves, probably lead to nothing but i have nothing else to do on lockdown

I once emailed one of the directors of Hearst but surprise surprise no response.

I am sure Occy is male, but not sure if his brain cell knows what he is.

I remember there was a real Socialist left winger on there, nevr saw him post anything too controversial but he stood his ground and they got him banned, then there was a Tory user name began with S, he got banned too, then there was another guy that kept changing his user name as he kept getting banned. I never saw them post anything racist, they just didn't abide by the left wing remain view.

Another twat is andykn, continuously asks or links but clearly never reads them, people have caught on and just tell him nope cos you don't bother reading them. The EU/AZ thread just went round in circles thanks to him and Eurostar

I remember on DS there used to be a lot of self proclaimed ‘ nice guys’ who used to spend their days making thinly veiled misogynistic posts about how awful women were for not wanting to sleep with them on account of their being so ‘nice’. They were also very prevalent on the Showbiz and Big Brother forum accusing all women of being jealous of any woman they thought was physically attractive but disliked, because obviously we all hate each other and are in constant competiton for these nice guys attention.

There were frequent threads about male rape and sexual assault by women, but never mentioning the fact that men are far, far more like to to be raped or assaulted by other men. They also had problems with women only charity events like Race for Life, despite the fact that there are male equivalents. I bet they are having a field day with this Sarah Everard ‘Reclaim the Streets’ stuff.

Ds is in fact a real hot bed of misogyny in the way that Mumsnet is a hotbed of man bashing. I’m so glad to be out of it.

I found a lot of the soap threads are full of these types too. Some the comments/opinions can be quite sick. They'll have nothing bad said about certain characters they all fancy!

Although, I assumed I had been banned after one comment last year, yet, I just tried to log on and it let me, and have posting rights too. I think I must have been temp banned. Might go cause so mischief for shits and giggles

carl.waring is terrible for multi-quotes. I remember having many arguments with him over the gadget show years ago and he would literally take a two or three sentence post and break it down into at least half a dozen quotes. He's one of the few people I won't ever respond to on DS.

I remember him being a nightmare when DS allowed comments on news articles (if you can call them that) on their front page. The guy was obsessive when it came to piracy issues, he was even given the opportunity to create his own article on the subject. He's a titanic bore.
