went on that forum recently because I wanted to find out something about an Eastenders episode and saw a mod has made a sticky post telling off members of the soaps forum for starting “soap wars” and threatening bans for those that display toxic and clique-like bullying behaviour (erm, doesn’t that apply to all their sub forums?)

and the resurrected Soap Awards that was also stuck to the top has now been removed. The closing date was 18th July so it must have all kicked off again. In its place, DS Mods have put up a poll about what to do about the soap awards going forward.

Anyone seen the chose about the "DS Soap Awards". The wrong person started the thread, there was a war, and now they are both "hosting" together. What a total shit show. Who cares that much. I had to laugh at Mr.Pitkin telling them all to "GROW UP!!! NOW!!!!" on every second post and Tanya telling a story about the time she hosted an award ceremony and hooked up with whoever it was.

It was complete carnage. Dullire started the DS Soap Awards a few weeks earlier than it normally starts when the regular host, Rita’s Kabin, does it and so people kicked off as it looked deliberate so that he/she could get a head start. But then everyone took sides and DS had to close the thread in the end. That original thread whilst it was still open was a lot of fun as an onlooker

But as you say they’ve now called a truce and after ‘behind the scenes negotiations’, dullire & Rita’s Kabin are hosting it together. The soap awards part is fine but the forum part where they award forum members various awards is a load of backslapping nonsense where the in-crowd award other members of the in-crowd awards

You raise a fair point re the difficulty of proving guilt in what are largely "he said, she said" cases - however, the point @bladerunner is highlighting is the double standards on display. If you truly believe in the presumption if innocence, right to a fair trial etc then you extend those values to everyone, even those with whom you are ideologically opposed.

Same with "Ha ha, I hope he gets raped in prison."

I'm surprised the Lee Andrews of DS (Tanya) hasn't announced that she will be going back to the BBC to be the next Director General - after all, she has already claimed that she has worked for them in the past.

I met my partner on Digital Spy He was asking for some difficult advice, he was in a bit of a state actually, and I just messaged him saying that he sounded like a lovely guy and hoped he'd get things sorted and be happy. Anyway, still together almost sixteen years later.

I do remember there was one couple on General Discussion who got together and were really flaunting it. It was pretty hot and heavy for a while. Can't remember their names though.

I knew that would happen. The Woman's a fruit loop fantasist. She did me a massive favour though getting me banned, I wouldn't have found my way here otherwise.

I don't think they are even a woman. They somehow don't come across as female at all, especially when they talk about anything female related.

I'm convinced that Sherewq is either a phishing bot, or somebody heavily on the spectrum. They endlessly post in the Soaps section but never once have they replied to any of the threads they start.

DS have finally banned him/her. I know a lot of people have written to the mods about them before but they remained active, until now. Support wrote this post in a thread that someone created in Soaps called: ‘Is it possible to hide threads from a specific member?’

“As excessive as the thread creation has been, some have actually generated discussion and continue to get meaningful replies, which is why they weren't banned immediately. We do warn for excessive low-effort thread creation though, and as this has happened a lot recently with our warnings going ignored, action has been taken over the past few days in relation to this, so please rest assured it's been handled accordingly.”

Does anyone remember a forum called Diabolik TV? Some truly horrid people there.

I was on Diabolik. It worked the same way as the celeb and influencer threads on here, just about DS posters. There were a couple of not-nice people on there, but the real nutters were usually got rid of quite quickly. Most of the posters were just there to chat and carry on discussions and arguments that would have got us banned on DS. You weren't even allowed to say "Diabolik TV" out loud on DS, and there was a misconception that you had to have been banned from DS to post there.

I don't notice most of the time unless someone laughs at something heartfelt/sensitive. Even then I'm mostly just ??? to myself unless I'm in a proper bitchy mood.

I have a very bleak sense of humour, so people laughing at pretty much anything doesn't bother me that much, although there have been one or two times I've thought it was a bit harsh.
