What amused me was when they all tried to be more open-minded than thou, such as stories like a woman caught performing a sex act on the beach. A bunch of the general discussion regulars could not rush to shrug their shoulders at it fast enough. It was okay because you could barely make out what she was doing in the video, etc...

So, after spending months slagging off Musk and Twitter, the lefty regulars are now not very happy that AVF has decided that Twitter is not a credible source. The mods have today started removing posts that contain links to Twitter. One such post was by a deluded lefty member named MrsArcanum who linked to a Twitter post that falsely claimed Farage was planning to means test the state pension. Unfortunately for MrsA, one of the few remaining rational members did some digging and proved it was fake news, as confirmed by Reuters! Brilliant stuff!

Kevin1960 seems to be quite the dickhead. I haven't really noticed that poster before, but he has started to pick on a one particular poster in the last little while, following him around the forum, obviously taking the piss out of him. The poster in question has been very open and honest on DS about his learning difficulties and while the comments seem to go over his head, it still isn't nice to read.

I notice that Krish has got involved in a spat with Aaronf on the AVF Meghan Nexflix thread. Krish has had a couple of digs at Aaron and thinks he is being clever with his usual failed attempts at being intellectually funny, also careful to not risk being banned by avoiding using insults. He has now accused Aaron of making disparaging comments against Krish and others on the old Sleeping Dogs forum. Richp007 (banned from AVF politics but can still post in General Chat) has added a like in support of Krish, as I think he also received some bad comments on Sleeping Dogs.

Aaronf : I sense you can't reply without taking the piss which is fair enough. I think I'd rather discuss it sensibly elsewhere. Cheers

I distinctly remember a thread on DS about the threads author moving into a new house and the next door neighbours young daughter staring through the window at them ? This happened day after day and they got rather unsettled by it.

I've tried to find the thread, but no luck. I definitely remember reading it years ago though.

Yeah, if the rules being referred to no longer apply, it could be misleading to whoever has not noticed the advice is out of date, or if it’s talking about a TV show, the opening post could say something like ‘X programme starts on X channel this Sunday’, misleading those who haven’t noticed it’s a 10 year old thread

I know this is off topic strictly speaking, but Urban 75 seems to be the new go to place for those who find AVF too restrictive now that they have tightened up the rules somewhat. There is a clique (including the likes of MrsArcanum, BreadandCircuses, KrisSilver, LakieLady, BooRadley, Everything Goes) who are at odds with the long standing Urban75 members and frequent arguments are now breaking out between the two factions. It's all quite entertaining. Both camps are basically left wing, despise Trump etc, but the traditional Urban75 group don't like the AVF crowd (most of whom I think previously got kicked out of DS) using insults and aggression rather than sensible, more nuanced debating tactics. For example BreadandCircuses won't refer to Trump or Musk and insists on using "Cheeto" and "Elmo" instead. BreadandCircuses has now been thread banned by a mod for it!

Who didn't see that coming?

Did the ex AVF lot announce their arrival and expect the red carpet to be rolled out for them the way Stuart did?

I don't know many forums that actually allow Dislike reactions. I know one that has one labelled as "respectfully disagree" (although it comes up as a ) and I know another one which as about 15 different reactions, including such things as or , which obviously do get abused a bit.

Then again, people on Tattle occasionally use the react more as a comment on the poster than the post.
