Christ, does anyone remember a user called ''Lee Morris'' ?

He openly admitted to pissing himself in children's playgrounds and once started a thread about kinky School uniforms.
He had about ten different identities. SparkyLee was one of them. He had a sideline interest in policemen and their socks.

Does anyone remember The Wizard ? He was like a male Hyacinth Bouquet and would tut and moan at the slightest thing that he deemed to be ''Beneath him''.

His last post was about him taking on a Pub I think.

Think that was MoanyLisa.

Can't work, won't work, yet can find the time (and our money) to fly from Northern Ireland, pay for accomodation, etc - just to sit outside of Corrie and EE studios and harass the cast for a couple of days at a time.
She was a scary, scary individual. While she obviously had vulnerabilities (I remember seeing a picture of her many years ago when she was not so careful about what she put online and what she linked to), she came across as very concerning and potentially dangerous.

Does anyone else remember when the mods were trying to recruit regular posters as "forum hosts"? There was a certain sector of the DS population falling over itself. I think the plan was shelved pretty quickly.

Have you ever come across Styker? He could start an argument in an empty room. He’s so antagonistic, if he’s wrong about something he won’t put his hand up and admit that he’s wrong he has to come up with some long convoluted reason for why he said something without ever saying, ‘oops my mistake’ and the amount of people who have said in various threads that they’ve put him on ignore as they can’t take his combative style
They are currently spamming the life out of the LBC thread making it virtually unreadable.

The moderation at DS is an absolute joke but they are in a tricky situation with that particular poster because most of the time they are on topic with what's gone on on LBC but then they attach long rambling political posts to it. Like you say, very combative as well.

Still, you reap what you sow and all that. That particular thread chased off a lot of old thread members by being particularly combative and argumentative. 🤷‍♀️

Shes being particularly obnoxious at the moment. She’d argue with herself in an empty room. Horrible individual.

Does anyone remember Soma ? She was a Muslim poster who would spit her dummy out if she thought you were criticizing Islam.

FairyPrincess is another odd one.
Soma used to post int he LBC thread a lot. Back in the day Iain Dale would occasionally post in there too and he had a theory Soma was someone well known in those circles (can't remember who tbh) which Soma always denied.

Oh yes I forgot about his prostitute escapades!

I remember someone having the strangest argument with him about women with children who then get into a relationship with a new partner.

Something along the lines of him saying this means the father can stop paying child support as she's got another man. He could absolutely not see what people meant when they tried to explain but the original man is the father of the kids so should still provide for them, and still want to provide for them. It went round and round.
He posted a lot on the Sleeping Dogs forum and was Billy big bollix for a while but the posters in there were like sharks in a tank😅 From what I remember he was a landlord of some description and they named him Rigsby. He kept saying the ladies he paid really enjoyed it.

I remember Anne 666 who was very vocal until her last post where she went into a lot of detail about a traumatic event and never posted again. I kinda liked her.

There was a poster who was brilliant with plumbing queries, can't remember his username, but it was rumoured that he died as he was the pilot on the plane with Emiliano Sala.
I know who you mean but can't remember his name (it'll drive me nuts for the rest of the day now). He wasn't dead a few months ago. I think he was on the Sleeping Dogs forum and now may be on Reddit.

GreatGodPan was the deluded socialist who thought Brexit would be the start of a Socialist revolution in the UK.

He was banned eventually.
He was a nasty piece of work. Really savage to anyone who even slighty questioned his ideology to the point I don't think he was a well guy.

EbonyHamster used the name TinkTinkTinkerbelle on a few forums (thestudentroom and money saving expert) and I think it was on one of those where her death was confirmed
British and Irish gen X and millennials are obsessed with Tinker Bell (me included)…

There was a very pertinent post on AVF's Unpopular Opinions thread (contained within General Chat rather than the Politics forums) earlier today. It was a reply to someone commenting about the Royal Family/Harry and Meghan. The reply contained the following...."I admire you for not posting this in the dreaded Politics thread. That place is a cesspit and you'd be assailed from all directions for not holding the right opinions.......Well done for giving the politics thread a swerve, I think you might have got away with it. ;)"
The mods could do with taking note of this and acknowledging the problem, although it's probably more likely that one of them will end up deleting it for showing AVF in a bad light! :ROFLMAO:

A poster I've not noticed before is making some great comments today on the AVF Trump thread, regarding the poll at the start of the thread. Someone called BlairH is highlighting how out of touch and ill-informed a lot of the regulars are, given that 68% polled predicted that Harris would win the US election! :ROFLMAO: This has predictably outraged some of the lefties, several trying to justify themselves by claiming that the poll was really a prediction of who should win, rather than the actual question of "Who will win". That type of reasoning could only happen on AVF! :D

BlairH's latest posts in the thread are bang on the money....

"The poll was not whether you're endorsing one candidate or another. The question was who "will" win. The poll suggested -with relative certainty- that Kamala would win. If that's the assessment of the US political scene here, then that suggests it's not particularly well-placed to assess the results of the Trump Presidency.

For those of us who speak to Americans, or who actually get their news from a diverse array of sources, it was obvious Kamala wasn't going to get anywhere. The interest in her campaign was 100% astroturf; and a cynical gambit to quickly unstick the donations. They outspent the Trump campaign by a significant margin; and still lost."

"Quite. Nobody took the poll seriously. Nobody took the actual scientific polls seriously either (thankfully).

And I don't think I should be taking the forum's assessment of the Trump presidency seriously either. After all, if they're choosing not to read a basic question; what hope have they in objectively assessing the results of a Presidency in a foreign country?"
Good for BlairH! I’m sure the resident sanctimonious know-it-alls on that thread are fuming lol.

I remember DTV along with the world and his wife being obsessed with stoatie. Who need like a cool enough dude but I never really got what the fuss was about just from his DS forum posts.
My typing can be worse than someone who has just downed a load of booze, ugh. I meant "seemed like" lol
