Head office roles don’t tend to be “poverty” salaries or poor working conditions beyond bad management, warehouse work however does and is often overlooked imo/e and I hope more is done to tackle this in the future. Atm it feels like a moral failing, same with logistics but that’s subcontracted so easy for them to wash their hands of. With HO I think the worst shenanigans happen at mid levels (eg those who may be reporting into a head of discipline, or another step removed) but that’s because there’s a wider salary range + more people so discrepancies arise easier, ppl are at the mercy of managers and there are plenty of tit ones about. D&I abysmal for a variety of reasons.
I’m 1 (or 2?) level removed from the CEO if I’m following ur methodology right - I report into a CTO who reports into them. I think I’m fairly paid for my day to day but there’s issues with how frenzies can whip up quite quickly and a low value add project suddenly becomes the most urgent thing ever just because usual suspects are involved, and I’m tired of that, not got many more gifting seasons left in me tbh. I’m hoping to leave in the next 2 years and go back to tech but as we all know the timings aren’t great for that atm!
