As someone who's visited flannels warehouse, as well as other retailers Selfridges etc, I would never buy from flannels (or any other SD shop). They treat their stock with as much care as the stock for HOF. I'd imagine that staff working there have similar working conditions to Amazon

100% this. I’d argue worse than Amazon, iirc no one’s been given no choice but to give birth in the Amazon warehouse toilets?

My most used and most recent purchase of a handbag is my Coperni Swipe. At least based on usage for this past year, and I bought the bag last year. I just haven't been into using my luxury designer bags as of recently.

Tell us more if you can? I’ve always wondered what the warehouses of high end online retailers look like! Are they the same as BooHoo type places where everything is stacked in boxes ready to be picked? How are garments stored? And the security must be tighter? Genuinely interested x

Ive nevee been to boohoos so cannot compare. Sports direct, HOF and flannels stock is all kept in the same massive warehouse, but split across the different product categories as there is a lot of crossover regarding where customers can buy a sku, e.g. l think u can get mulberry at booth hof and flannels. Most warehouses across the industry look the same, but from what I could tell at SD, the staff are rushed off their feet and staff turnover is high, so the level of care is there and not really required from their managers.

I would use flannels as a last resort if u cannot find an item that sold out elsewhere. And if u can, do click and collect so if it comes damaged u can return straight away rather than having to dispute via email, phone etc, their customer service isn't as good as Selfridges, Harrods etc

Farfetch is a marketplace so you're not buying directly from them but a designer boutique that trades on farfetch. As a result your items could be coming from anywhere in the world. I've always had a good experience from them so I wouldn t hesitate in buying from then

My most used is my longchamp le pliage which I use for work day in day out, and then my mulberry lily which comes on a LOT of nights out.

Most recent is a mulberry Iris.

Funny cause I’m LV through and through but I have quite a few so rotate them a lot more!

I'm not the person you quoted but I used to work for Harrods in the handbag department as a part time sales assistant. I was in the room that stocked Prada, Miu Miu, Bottega, Marc Jacobs, and a few others.
The stockroom was a sort of organised mess. It was a bit of a nightmare working there as the stock room was far away, so if we had to get a brand new product then it would take about 10-15 mins (jogging there and back in heels). If I remember correctly the bags were just placed in dust bags and then plastic bags with labels on them. I remember having to climb up and down the step ladder to find something. I assume all warehouses look the same.

Simetimes the parcels can come with a little note (Matches do this) signed by who packed the parcel which makes me think they must be in a nice place, but could all be smoke and mirrors!

What’s your best (and worst) designer purchase?

I’ve only ever bought LV in 2001 (wish I’d kept hold of it!) and many Mulberry’s.

I feel I’m ready to step up a level and need enabling I have a classic/minimalist style, only wear neutrals, so I’m drawn towards YSL and Chanel rather than more fashion bags.

I do love the padded cassette though!

I’m looking for more investment pieces, so without sounding arrogant, my top budget would be £30k. And I’m also on the lookout for a watch (same budget.)

ETA I know this sounds ridiculous, especially in the current climate!
