That’s odd because they usually package everything really nice. Everything comes in individual black flannels bags even small stuff from sale like swimsuits.

Also I did mention before about my husband having a meeting with someone involved with Flannels and they don’t sell fakes, they sell seconds. Just because the bag came without packaging doesn’t mean it’s fake, I’ve had stuff sent poorly package and marked from Selfridges and Harrods before. I don’t think they charge for returns either. Someone just looking for attention on TikTok.

I bought a pair of Isabel marant boots from coggles last Black Friday and they came in a coggles shoe box and no dust bag. They were too small for me, but even if they weren’t, the fact that they arrived like that put me off.

Agree its not really acceptable but look at the receipt that person posted it says 1554 when they said themselves it’s a 1700 bag so it was probably discounted because there was no dust bag? I bought a Max Mara coat from Flannels, I thought I was getting an absolute bargain but when it came it didn’t have a belt. Then I looked at the website again and there was no belt in the pic hence the price so that was my fault but I don’t know how they explain stuff like not having a dustbag since it doesn’t get pictured. Or how they’re even getting away with selling seconds without saying they are? Surely there has to be some kind of trading standards rule around that?

Hello!

I’ve had a big clear-out and want to buy some nice shoes and bags.

I’ve been eyeing the Dior baby-D ballet flats 😍

Which websites do you recommend for finding good value designer items? Depop? Vestiaire Collective?

Thanks!

Yeah, everything I’ve got from Flannels has arrived promptly and fine, and it sort of placated me having to pay the inflated p&p. I ordered a McQueen top in the sale in the summer and it arrived in the suit carrier with a McQueen hanger and plastic, like properly box fresh! The YSL bag might’ve been a display one or something. I do have a love/hate relationship with them though, their customer service is questionable and their phone number is chargeable - cost me £40 to ring them once🤬

Oh wow! That’s not on! Again how are they getting away with this? When I had a problem I tweeted them and was back and fourth with an advisor who was responding pretty quickly so if you ever need to deal with them again keep that in mind.

I actually ordered some stuff yesterday because I kept getting emails about sale ending Monday and I had a few bits in my basket, it was something like £492 and they have the spend £500 get a free candle offer, candle is probably rank but I just chucked on a pair of leggings for £24 to wear gym or around the house 😂 so it’s basically not free. Why am I like this? But I paid for the cheaper delivery think it’s £5.99 opposed to £9.99 for the faster one and it’s coming tomorrow so pretty quick even if they do take the piss with the delivery charges.

The Max Mara coat was the Madame coat btw that usually comes with a belt hence the confusion. Just looked back at my order and it was basically 70% off normal retail price so if you didn’t care about having the belt it was a great buy but I did send it back.

I never think to use Twitter - I should! I was trying to locate an item in a different size, but you couldn’t ring the stores direct🙄
They are like their other company Sports Direct, except there you can’t even have a refund you get a credit note - I mean WTF! Actually we ordered some Gucci trainers for my husband from Flannels last year and they arrived with one side looking as of it had been the side tried on in store as it was a bit mucky - not acceptable! They did exchange though although we had to pay the postage to return it 🫠
I actually have the candle @Its_Me it’s quite nice, just says bloody Flannels on it 🤣

Hahahaha I did think I’ll have to camouflage it among some vases or other candles 😅

I’ve had some bargains from flannels over the years. Like £40 McQueen scarves. £30 Valentino sandals. All damaged.

What's everyone's most used bag of all time (any designer) and most recent purchase?

My most used is the LV nano speedy. I think it's the perfect size for my stuff and casual enough for every day!
My most recent purchase is a Marc Jacobs softshot that's currently on sale on fashionette.

my most used is probably my LV neverfull, was also my first designer purchase and I still love it all these years later.

most recent purchase my Hermes Chypre sandals which I’ll never regret! I did actually last week order the khaki Oran sandals but they were an impulse buy and I really don’t need another pair of sandals so I’m sending them back therefore they don’t count 😂

My most used bag is LV Cabas Mezzo I bought in 2007 and used daily until my most resent purchase Pochette Metis in 2020. Both in Monogram Canvas and love them both so much!

My most used is also LV Pochette Metis, love this bag. Most recent purchase is a Mulberry Medium Lily, I’ve been going to and fro with this bag for years and finally decided to go for it.

Oooh Mash up between Chanel Black Nerf, Maxi Cavier Flap or 40 togo Birkin (all black with gold hardware) I cycle through them pretty evenly.

Has anyone had any luck with Chanel shoes recently? I'm trying to source the new velvet ballet pumps and they only have the teeny sizes at the moment

For weeks I’ve been looking at the second hand market for LV totes that aren’t Neverfull (I like the size and shape of Neverfull but I’m preferring a more secure fastening). And after looking at so many models, the Cabas Mezzo is looking perfect! They look like they’ve really stayed good quality a long time and I really like that it’s structured at the bottom. I hope I can get my hands on one!

As someone who's visited flannels warehouse, as well as other retailers Selfridges etc, I would never buy from flannels (or any other SD shop). They treat their stock with as much care as the stock for HOF. I'd imagine that staff working there have similar working conditions to Amazon

I would never buy anything full price from there. I’ve only ever ordered items which were like 80% off the RRP.

Most used bag is my Goyard St Louis in the larger size. I went for the classic black, white and tan and I use it every day and probably will until I’m an old lady 😁

Most recent purchase is a Clare V leopard clutch which I found BNWT on Vestiaire. Not used it yet but I know I’ll reach for it over and over.
