I really really really want a chanel trendy in black. Anyone have one? Do you recommend?

Yes I have one. I love it but would I recommend? Probably not especially if it’s your first Chanel bag. I have a caviar WOC that’s robust and I would never get another lambskin bag of the trendy size, more suited to smaller bags imo. Marks so easily & I feel like the compartments aren't structured enough and are going to get slouchy over time. The bar on the top gets scratched by my watch and the strap…strap also broke after I had it 6 months and used very little but that could happen to any Chanel bag, the links came loose. I probably won’t ever get rid of it because I do love the look of it but basically you have to baby the hell out of it! I think @Wifo1976 has one too, maybe she’s more positive things to say

I love it though I don’t use it too often because of the fragility of the leather. It’s a lovely bag though and I like that it has more than one compartment inside. It’s a yes from me x
we are in synch @Its_Me yeah I’m a bit soft with my bags, I too have a caviar which I use more, just because it’s so much more durable abd I don’t need to worry about damage. So it depends what your usage would be like. If you want it for everyday where you might lash it about then get a caviar bag instead 
but if it’s for ‘best’ then you’ll be ok.

I bought my first LV a couple months ago, but it’s just an entry level little thing! Haven’t used it yet cos I’ve not got round to getting insert/conversion kit.
Will buy a proper bag at some point, when the time is right. I have a few bits and bobs I need to sell on eBay, then that’ll go towards the LV fund
