How do these rude SA get away with it though? Like if a worker at say Sainsburys or high St clothing shop was being totally rude and dismissive to shoppers they would likely be in trouble.

The only bad experience I’ve had was with another customer! I was testing whether my purse fit in a bag in selfridges and was getting evils off this woman. After I walked away my friend asked me if I’d noticed her glaring at me so it def wasn’t just me assuming things. SA’s in Gucci have always been nice and really pleasant to me even when I’ve just gone in for a wander.
Exactly that!! They literally are no better than someone who works in bloody Poundland. Absolutely nothing wrong with working in Poundland btw didn’t want it to come across that way.
Even vogue Williams was saying on her latest podcast with Joanne when she went to Chanel in Paris with Spencer who obviously has a lot of money they made her feel like tit and it just wasn’t an enjoyable experience at all. I think all this ‘purchase history’ and the Hermes birkin game is ridiculous and just smacks of elitism, if I want to spend thousands on a bag just take my money!!!
Sorry I usually just lurk but I’m a sales assistant in a premium store and the way my colleagues talk about other customers before deciding if to approach / help is disgusting. Like you say we are only sales assistants most of us can’t afford the products so I don’t understand where the entitled attitude comes from.
Oh I’ve actually overheard two Chanel sas discussing some travellers before i couldn’t believe it. I think it’s so bad when majority of people work really hard for special purchases all the research into bags and then all the thinking about then to get treated like tit is just disgusting. It is no wonder majority of people do just buy online. Without the paying customers going into the shops/concessions they would be jobless.
Can I ask what can you fit in this pouch ? I’m thinking to purchase it.
I'll be using as a make up bag inside my bag but others get away with using it as a clutch xx

I'll second that for some if not all sephoras. I had to do a 2 week internship years ago and I only lasted a week I wanted to cry. Horrible women and in the back they do the same thing. Also have a brand of the week or two they have to push or stock they need to get rid of, I'd be wary of any products they reccomend.

I'm going to say something controversial but I'd rather spend a grand on a good rep than give that sort of money to chanel. One of the straps on my Gabby wasn't good from the start and they wouldn't do anything for me.
Do you think insta culture has now backfired? They are making more in sales but, not from the people they want to ‘represent’ their brand. Like Burberry and Danniella Westbrook

the classic flap is my favourite bag and I so desperately wanted a small…but it’s just crazy. It’s not even the price anymore, it’s the frequency of the price increases and the lack of respect Chanel have for their customers, as seen through their quality
Ive never bought from Hermes before, I only really like the lady Dior from Dior…all the other designers don’t really speak to me the way Chanel did
