If Richard Allen did it, the state has a weak case at best. At worst, he could walk and double jeopardy applies. If he didn’t do it, the states case is proving that for him. What a mess.

I need to catch up from the past two days (I've watched Andrea's day 9 recap but not Lee's yet).

The investigation was a shitshow and the judge is bias as duck from Andrea's observations. Upholds an objection that a previous statement has been mis-stated and when the defence starts to read an extract doesn't allow it. Won't let the defence question a witness to see if they have been bias (which Andrea says is literally part of the job). Won't let the defence use a third party defence when the evidence she thinks more than meets the threshold. Won't let the defence question past the scope of testimony questions meaning they will need to recall a duck load of witnesses.

Compare to Judge Kraynick in the Boone trial who allowed the Battered Spouse/self defence evidence and experts in despite the threshold not really being met (this was Emily D Bakers opinion but the judge said the law allowed him to rely on the smallest piece of evidence to let it on). Better safe than allow room for an appeal imo.

Absolutely agree! Apart from the “confessions” we are yet to hear, there is no DNA evidence…. Not one fibre, the description of bridge guy is WILD from tall, well built, young, old handsome man with curly hair! Unless the state can prove that photo is Richard Allen ( even then not slam dunk) I think it’s very very weak, if the confessions state something only the true killer would know that could win it for them, but right now nothing beyond a reasonable doubt for me personally.

It's been a long time since I caught up with this case. What happened with the pweirdo who was snapchatting with one of the girls and said he'd sold the account on for other pweirdos to use? Have they linked him and RA or did Abbey/Libby get targeted by two predators coincidentally?

Keegan is in prison for the next few decades. But I’ve never ruled him out in my mind along with Ron Logan or any of the others really. Ron Logan has always stood out to me. They were found on his property, giving him all night with them possibly. But he’s passed away now

And didn’t Ron make up his alibi too? Completely fabricated his story 😳

I just can’t move past Keegan Kline’s Anthony Shots account catfishing Libby and him apparently admitting to her friend that he was supposed to meet her that day ‘but she didn’t show up’. Then those poor girls just happen to come across a sadistic killer that murder them both, same day! Police have supposedly found no connection but Kline’s phone was wiped clean when they got hold of him (although this was a few years after the murders). RA has admitted that he went to Peru Indiana the morning of the murders to visit his mum. What a coincidence that Kline and his father lived in Peru IN at that time.

I totally forgot about the messed up father. That was the scariest thing about this whole case. Just how many offenders were concentrated in such a small area. I remember having a ‘cheat sheet’ of all the names of potential bridge guys and there were about 30 people. When RA was arrested, he was notably not on the list.

I read somewhere that because of their arrests the police collected enough evidence to smash one of the biggest pedalo rings they had ever encountered. So many children saved from future abuse because of Abby and Libby ❤

That is a great way at looking at it. I’m just not sure how much faith I have in LEO and the judicial system in Delphi

Yes. Then he died of Covid. I think RA is going to walk. The case against him isn’t strong enough. Usually a man who gets off on violent crime will also have internet form for such depravity too and I’m assuming the prosecution didn’t find this. Michelle Martinko’s murderer got away with it for decades but when he was finally caught he was still looking at violence against women on the internet.

I’m looking forward to the prosecution explaining what ‘he confessed to that only the killer would know’. I think he did it but agree that so far with what we know it does seem kind of flimsy. Early days yet though.

I really wish they could explain the exact distance bridge guy was from the girls, it’s been enhanced so much but from the court room they couldn’t even see him in the video, he could be such a distance away walking on the bridge … we don’t see him talking in the film either …surely there must be experts to confirm this either way.

People are now saying the bridge guy video is made up 🙃

Yes, will be interesting to hear what RA knows. LE released minimal details to the public about what happened to Libby and Abby for this reason, I guess.

So far the prosecution case has been so flimsy and poorly handled. It really is shocking given the time they've had to prepare.

The blood splatter expert was only asked to carry out an analysis THIS year. The investigation has been a tit show.

The state is still putting their case on but I’m now passing reasonable doubt and into not guilty

Why did he go and change his height on his fishing licence after the murders, thats a very odd thing to do, weight yes but not height. did he not want authorities to know how small he was.
So far it’s not very convincing, however we still have few weeks more evidence to hear.
But what’s the chances of someone dressed exactly as killer being on the trails at same time as murders, I really hope they have more evidence .
