I have never changed my mind on a defendant ever in my life by only listening to the states evidence, having not even made it to the defence. The state is supposed to prove guilt and all I can now see is an innocent man based on their own case.

I'm definitely not saying he isn't guilty, but I certainly now have reasonable doubt after reading yesterday's live text reporting.

It sounds like he went from 'I didn't do it' to solitary confinement, and suddenly 'I did it'. he also said he was 'cured of his depression' in solitary just before he confessed. I dont think those confessions should stick.

And there was no “bombshell” of knowing anything that only the killer would know. Now there’s no DNA, no one can say he’s BG. It doesn’t even seem like they have found that this man even has any pedalo tendencies on any of the devices they seized from his home never mind any interaction with him and Libby or Abby.

I can’t decide whether i think he’s guilty, but I think they’ll convict him because it’s such a heinous crime. I don’t think they do have enough evidence to confidently convict him though …..

I really hoped they had the right person when they arrested him, as it was a case I really didn’t think would ever be solved - and it is just so heinous & terrifying (I remember genuinely struggling to sleep when I first saw the pics/vid of Bridge Guy and hearing him say “down the hill”) - there’s a fair bit that makes me think they do have the right person - but blimey the prosecutions case is so weak! Even with these 60+ confessions they were saying would nail it to the board - I am really unsure, I just don’t know

He was kept in solitary confinement for months before he started saying he was guilty. He was also sent to prison not the local jail whilst he was waiting for his trial which never happens. The guards all spoke and acted like he was guilty when he hadn't even been on trial. Awful.

What stood out was witness Dr Monica Wala the psychologist stating
“He said he planned on a sexual assault but saw a van, “got scared” and decided not to, crossed the creek and “cut necks” before covering the bodies with branches”

Hope prosecutors can prove a van went past that rural road near the crime scene around that time.

Pretty damning if a van was seen in that timeframe and they have the evidence. Otherwise, so far, it seems that they only have the box cutter remark that was unknown to the public but part of his confession ‘that only the killer would know?’

A guy testified today that he drove past the initial kidnap point in a white van (down the hill area but not over the creek yet) around 25/30 minutes after he left work in Lafeyette at 2:02pm (takes him around 30 minutes to get home)

Libbys iPhone showed a rise in elevation at 2:32pm and then stopped moving.

So this would fit in his confessions

Thanks. I haven’t caught up on today’s reporting yet. But another coincidence!

I think RA is guilty but I’m not sure if he will be found guilty beyond reasonable doubt. If I were on the jury, I’d be voting guilty so far based upon the fact that he admitted he was there and has made multiple confessions including one in which he stated he intended on raping the girls but was disturbed so he killed them. The bullet is obviously plausible because he would have used the gun to make them lie down.

He he also confessed to being an abuser of children.

He was held in solitary confinement for 13 months. We don't know when the confessions were made in terms of before or after he got disclosure as the prison has messed around with the dates on their paperwork...

I go back and forth on guilty or not guilty. But the jury seems pretty switched on going by the questions they have been asking. The prosecution has rested their case and now it's the defences turn. Should be interesting.

I think he did it but I could see a jury being swayed due to the months spent in solitary etc.
It would be interesting to hear the confessions and watch the videos. We're only getting descriptions, I'm sure it would be totally different to view it in person.

The bullet, the box cutter, the grape and the white van are swaying it for me. Especially as he also puts himself in all the places bridge guy did.

It's so infuriating that they misfiled that tip..5 years is a long time to get rid of evidence. It would be a completely different case.

My heart just breaks for those girls. Regardless of who did it, the panic and fear they must have felt in their dying moments is just absolutely heartbreaking. I'm hoping this is the guy and they get justice.

I don’t think there’s a chance 12 people are going to find this man guilty. I’m calling a not guilty verdict. Maybe a hung jury. I’m not sure how long they’ll deliberate mind you because they all have to convince each other or deliberate until there no chance of breaking a deadlock. It’s not adding up for me at all. In any way. A small, tiny man, who admitted he was there from day dot, a tight timeline and a what should be a very messy messy crime scene and there’s no way this was a rush job. And he just got lucky that they didn’t look into his account until 5 years later after they’d lost so much evidence and memories fade? This is the states case? I’m very interested to see who the defence calls. But even if he is guilty and I don’t think he is anymore, I don’t think they can convict on what has been presented and how botched the case has been since the beginning.

Esssssssh! I don’t know what to think anymore, it must be powerful in court hearing those confessions, from a man that admitted to being there and the timelines matching. I do actually think he is “bridge guy” … did bridge guy do it?! … he had the documentation and then started the confessions with details, if the defence can remove the van from being there which is the only point not in discovery and potentially what the killer would know …. I just can’t get over there being no DNA!!

I sadly think this will be hung, those beautiful girls deserve so much more than this 🩷

Those girls deserve the right person to be paying for what they did. I don’t know who (high ranking) the state is protecting or what they’re protecting (a county full of pedalos that have been operating blatantly and flagrantly without fear LE because LE didn’t give a duck or they have members in the ring) but I think it’s going to unravel with this verdict and we’re going to see the low life’s and the officials revealed.

From everything I've heard so far, if I were on the jury I don't think I could comfortably find him guilty. Seeing as the law says you have to be SURE of guilt, I think even I was leaning towards guilty, I'd have to vote NG.

I don’t know if you guys are aware that in this trial, a quirk of Indiana, jurors are allowed to asked questions of the witnesses before they’re excused from the stand. Usually that’s only allowed during deliberations. You can get a real feel of how the jury is leaning and clearly tuned in they are. This is not a stupid jury and they don’t seem impressed with this state. But I concede, we still have the defence to go and their questions there will be quite interesting too
