Well that’s what *I* call them anyway 😃 they seem to be known by a few names; I have also heard them called bamba. I’ve tried many varieties from around the world but these are my favourites so far.

Polish people also love those puffs and can be found in flavours like peanut butter and chocolate, amongst others. I did see someone do the latter as a cereal alternative, accidentally, which made me laugh.

Absolutely adore these but they're getting harder to find and I can't go back to Poland whilst the dog is still here. I should say I'm delighted she is! But taking two weeks off away from her isn't feasible.

Two disappointments lately, both of which I'd really been looking forward to and had been actively hunting down

The M&S "extreme ridge" cornish cruncher and pickled onion crisps, I don't like to waste food but they are going in the bin, sorry! Way, way too much on the pickled onion and barely any cheese flavour. And I love monster munch pickled onion but these are yuck.

And the "Burger King" pringles, they both just taste drab and tasteless, nothing like the real thing, pointless. And I've just realised on finding an image of them that I threw the empty tubes away without redeeming the (quite good) BOGOF on the real thing burgers. Dammit!

Imagine if we all knew eachother IRL and could give foods away to another tattler who wants to try 🤣

I have 3 other types of crisp type snacks from our ethnic supermarket shopping spree that we are yet to try, so I will report back on those presently. Trying to not binge out too much but it’s hard to resist!

Got the giant cheesy wotsit clones from Lidl today, they are ace! Loads of cheesey traffic cone coloured orange dust.

Oh those are called peanut puffs in English? They’re very popular in Germany. We call them Flips. Love them.
I’m British living in Germany, and I’m really disappointed in the selection of crisps and maize snacks in German stores, particularly the available flavours. It seems to be mostly paprika, salted, or cheese (without the onion). I can never find any type of beef, bacon, chicken, salt & vinegar, pickled onion crisps. If you know of any German chain that sells a wide variety of flavours, please let me know!

When I go to the American store near me, sometimes I get some Hot Fries or Hot Cheetos. I love those!

Afraid not, sorry. I actually used to order crisps from Britain pre-Brexit because of the lack of variety here. Now that's become too expensive so I've accepted my fate 😅🙈

ETA: I believe Rewe has bacon flavoured maize snacks.

Oh that sounds good, I will look in Rewe soon for those :) Thank you!

I go a couple of times a year to the UK but sadly I can rarely bring crisps back because they take up so much space in luggage and are so fragile, it’s so annoying 😆

Another item from the Lebanese supermarket. Not 100% objectionable, but way too sweet, and a bit heavy on the flavouring in general for my taste. Would not purchase again.

Today’s treat coming via the Global Supermarket, we have these tomato flavoured Fritos from South Africa. These were surprisingly good, a strong tangy tomato flavour, but not too sweet at all, and even though quite heavily seasoned the corn flavour was nice and strong. Nice crispness. I like these strip style corn chips but they’re not really common on local shelves. Very more-ish and difficult to stop eating! Glad I chanced the twofer deal on these babies.

When my parents went to Greece I always made sure they brought back as many as poss. delicious crisps.
Lidl do a version but I always find theres a bit damp if that makes sense to those who've had them.

My local Tesco had own-brand basil and peccorino pesto crisps this weekend - they don't smell of much when you open the bag, but they're pretty tasty.
