Has anyone else watched the Michael Jackson Trial documentaries on Channel 4?

Yeah I watched it. I'll admit before I had doubts and thought he was maybe just misunderstood like emotionally immature and "stuck" in a child mindset. After watching it, I no longer have doubts .

It's the final episode. And yes, agreed. I think it's the only one of the four cases featured that actually holds any water.

I like this series too, not so much the micro expressions because I don’t know how much I believe them, but more-so those kind of crimes where people court the media to try and get away with their crimes!

They had an episode with Mitchell Quy, Mick Philpot and others who had the fake tears.
I do like 'The Listener' analysing press interviews when you know the perpetrator is lying.

Still trying to find those missing two episodes of Murder 24/7 (no luck) but did come across a new four part documentary on this week on C4.

It's called The Never Ending Murder and it's about the case of Nicola Payne. First two parts are on Wednesday night starting at 9pm and the final two are on Thursday night.

I know this case. I followed the trial. I'm struggling to see how this is going to be stretched out for four hours if I'm honest

EDIT - says it's new but a quick Google confirms it's actually three years old. Looks like it was originally for made for Prime (maybe)

Yes I watched this on prime maybe a year ago. Such a sad case for her family

Megs sister was given salt and has a kidney transplant as a child. Likely victim one.

The mother was a walking red flag and scary that the documentary said she is now an influencer under another name for older people. Aside from the MBP she was a total fraudster too.

Just watching The Man In The Mask : An Orkney Murder on Iplayer. It’s a new 3 part series on a crime that took place in 1994. Intriguing so far.

Is this about the waiter who was shot at the Indian restaurant?

The driving to an industrial park has now led me to think that this was intentional on her part and that Davion was collateral. There would be no reason for her to be driving in an industrial park at 5am.

I don't know if I'm reading too much into this, but was there anything that ever made you think this wasn't intentional before you found out about the industrial park?

I've been sitting on this news for a few days, because I was hoping it wasn't true, but A&E have pulled all filming of The First 48 with immediate effect - Tulsa, Gwinett County and North Charleston. Gutted as this is one of my favourite crime shows

However, a little bit of a consolation prize, A&E have also said:

“With over 90 episodes of The First 48 in production or completed and not yet aired, A&E has enough episodes to fill their schedule needs for the next three years so the network isn’t ordering new episodes at this time but remain committed to the franchise and to delivering this show to viewers."

The second season was ordered before the first aired so hopefully the wait won't be too long. I was gutted to discover I'd watched it already after seeing the recommendations here. I watch so many shows of this ilk that I forget the rifles sometimes.

I watched this& found it disturbing. I hadn’t heard of the murders & the terror they deliberately put their victims through really got to me.

I’d never heard of them either. Horrendous

I've been meaning to mention this for ages but an old TV show (from 2012) called Fatal Encounters popped into my head a while ago. Some of the episodes really stayed with me. Anyway, I did a quick search and found there was actually a third season on Discovery+ that I've never seen. I'm still working though it, as I took a long break after watching this one:

Episode five - Deadly Delivery.

Honestly, forget the fucking Shawshank Redemption. This is the ultimate story of forgiveness, compassion and what can happen when you have the right team rooting for you.

I cried and cried and cried. Mr BMP had to have a word in the end! I still get emotional thinking about it now. But they are happy tears.

Because I always talk about hope where youth crime is concerned. There has to be hope that something positive can come out of a tragedy, especially involving kids. And this story has it in spades. Uplifting and inspirational. If you watch it, make sure you Google afterwards too.

Oh, there's a spin off of Accused: Guilty or Innocent? called Accused: Did I Do It?

One season of that and it's available on CI catch up. Also well worth a watch.

There's a case featured on Accused: Guilty or Innocent? that haunts me. Not sure what season but it's about a dad who was accused of shaking his child causing brain damage. There was also a later follow up episode. That's the one that's stayed with me. I think about that family often

They're old but definitely The Jigsaw Man and Picking Up The Pieces by Paul Britton. They cover some very high profile cases he was involved in.

Stopping by to recommend Accused: Did I Do It? On the Crime & Investigation channel. Think it’s a rebranding of Accused: Guilty or Innocent. Both are a good watch. The series follows alleged perpetrators and their lawyers in the lead up to criminal cases, including the verdict at the end. Some of the episodes have footage from the trials too.

It's not a rebranding - it's a spin off show. The first (and only so far) season of it ran almost parallel with the last season of Accused: Guilty or Innocent? in the USA.

Have seen them all. Both are excellent watches, although it makes me really angry/bewildered every single episode. Sometimes the rage is off the fucking scale. There's one particular case featured on Accused: Guilty or Innocent? (and it also had a follow up episode) that I still think about a lot - I was completely bereft for a few days afterwards.

I HATE THE USA JUSTICE SYSTEM!

But I won't stop watching
