Haven’t watched this but did watch all of the making of a murderer on Netflix, then I watched Pat Brown on YouTube, my eyes were truly opened!

It's not a rebranding - it's a spin off show. The first (and only so far) season of it ran almost parallel with the last season of Accused: Guilty or Innocent? in the USA.

Have seen them all. Both are excellent watches, although it makes me really angry/bewildered every single episode. Sometimes the rage is off the fucking scale. There's one particular case featured on Accused: Guilty or Innocent? (and it also had a follow up episode) that I still think about a lot - I was completely bereft for a few days afterwards.

I HATE THE USA JUSTICE SYSTEM!

But I won't stop watching 😂

Yes on Netflix. I always remember it happening and often wondered about little Alex. Iv seen things about them over the years, but the documentaries and docu series is really in depth. It's lovely to see Alex and André remaining so close and with a clear bond. But the footage of little Alex dressed in his thunderbirds outfit describing his mum being attacked is the stuff of nightmares.
Rachel looked like such a ray of light, she seemed so beautiful inside and out.

The Scream Murders - A True Teen Horror - Disney+. This is one the best true crime documentaries I have seen in some time . It really highlights the impact murder leaves - not just on the victims life ( the family ) but the murderers and their families. The community as a whole . Really excellent watch.

just finished watching this documentary and it’s left me feeling very emotional . I can’t remember the last time I watched a true crime doc which left me feeling for everyone involved ( inc the murderers) . I think this is a tragedy from start to finish - a case of two young lads who should never have met. The documentary gives a really good perspective of the impact that murder has on everyone - not just the victims family. I weirdly have empathy for both the murderers who ifeel both are remorseful for their behaviour . Their families who have to live with the fact their child committed this crime .Both families who approached the victims family to apologise for what their child had done and for them to acknowledge that the kindness they received from Cassies family. Sorry for the long post .

48 Hours is like Dateline. Team of investigative reporters doing stories. They show it on the True Crime channel (formerly CBS Reality) on Sky 🙂

I don't have Sky and haven't watched Dateline or 48 Hours...so that's probably why I've not seen the same story regurgitated multiple times 🙂

I read he plead guilty to manslaughter initially, then changed his plea. Disgusting man.

One thing which struck me about the 2 perpetrators is that there was no sense of remorse, one of them pretended that he was a satanist. But during his exorcism it became clear he didn't have a good grasp of what that was.

It's impossible to know why it happened 🤷‍♀️

That's why I started to make a list of what I have watched, what season I'm up to, because it does get confusing!

Doesn't help that so many shows cover the same crimes 🥱 It's got to the point where I can actually recognise the case from a thumbnail picture. Especially if it's a house. That's what I remember - houses 🏡

I think that's why I enjoyed Crime in Progress so much - I didn't know any of the case it featured.
