2-parter on Prime -- very odd title but the documentary is very good. Horrifying and senseless crime.

I think the police film them by default. If it ends up in a court room, which may have happened to avoid her publicly testifying, it's considered a matter of public record.

I like this series too, not so much the micro expressions because I don’t know how much I believe them, but more-so those kind of crimes where people court the media to try and get away with their crimes!

I think there was an Irish girl who scammed electric picnic tickets over here but nowhere near that amount

It's just dawned on me that when Caroline Dinenage was being talked about re all the ITV shenanigans ......and it was mentioned that she was Fred's daughter......I had Fred Dibnah in my head 😆

Absolute agree that these kids were not plain evil or born evil. I hate that kind of narrative tbh. You hear it a lot, and tempting as it is, I think it’s something people are driven to say because it’s easier to say “evil” than actually dedicate some thought as to how and why the kid ended up committing such an unspeakable act.

Some people might think this is more sympathy than they deserve, or looking for excuses. It’s not that. How can we say “never again” without exploring how it happened?

Even Axel Rudekubana wasn’t born evil. The truth is so much more complicated, and involves shit parents and rank incompetence from multiple agencies.

Also, the Nottingham inquiry is raising identical issues. Our systems are rotten to the core.

To watch him sit there laughing, grinning, and till this day denying it, while her sister is still living in anguish, boiled my blood all over again.

Just finished this.

I can't believe they couldn't get some decent evidence together - this poor woman and her family have been totally let down and it makes the undercover agent's work a total waste of time.

I wonder what the kids make of it all.

There's a programme on BBC (and iPlayer) called Behind bars: sex, bribes and murder. It's a two parter about relationships in prison. I don't know if we discussed this one but it includes the Lenny Scott case where he got murdered after grassing up a prison officer and their relationship with a prisoner

I’ve watched 2 episodes and I honestly don’t know if I can face the rest. Those women and children were/ are so so vulnerable.

On Netflix there's a documentary about Grenfell. Its a recent one so talks about the enquiry that went on after.

Hi,
I have just got a good offer with Now TV. If anyone has any good true crime that they have watched on this app that they recommend that will be great.
Please only crimes that have been solved. I can't bare watching something for hours only to discover at the end there is no conclusion 🙃
