Gosh his police interview was a bit of a surprise!Been watching murder trial on bbc iplayer. The dog walker one, what the actual hell?!
I think the police film them by default. If it ends up in a court room, which may have happened to avoid her publicly testifying, it's considered a matter of public record.I couldn't believe that is all he got, he was so calculating and he couldn't have cared less. To ring up and say he had done it and then plead not guilty was unbelievable. It did say Life with a minimum of 15.5 so hopefully he never gets out.
I thought her daughter was so brave to let them film her interview.
I like this series too, not so much the micro expressions because I don’t know how much I believe them, but more-so those kind of crimes where people court the media to try and get away with their crimes!Thank you x
As I posted it, I thought Nixon didn't sound right!
Oh it's the breathy exhales of the taught face that get me
Yes, very true- a micro inch of nostril movement when there is proof of crime probably means an itchy nose!
I think there was an Irish girl who scammed electric picnic tickets over here but nowhere near that amountTicketing Scammer on BBC iPlayer is an interesting watch. About a guy called Miles Hart scammed £1m of Glastonbury tickets in 2024.
Doh ....me too!I got Fred Dinnage mixed up with Fred Dibnah - I was very confused there (showing my age)![]()
Absolute agree that these kids were not plain evil or born evil. I hate that kind of narrative tbh. You hear it a lot, and tempting as it is, I think it’s something people are driven to say because it’s easier to say “evil” than actually dedicate some thought as to how and why the kid ended up committing such an unspeakable act.It changed my views of the whole situation - from how i thought about Thompson/Venables ( going from thinking they were the epitome of evil to that they were failed from the start). From parents to school to social workers to the media. They became scapegoats for system failings.
At least 3 definitely are wearing wigsNot sure if it was mentioned on this thread about the Beauty Queen and the Catfish - did anyone else think they all looked like they were wearing wigs???
Just finished this. The Confession on Prime. ("Disappearance" of Patricia Hall.) I think I've seen this before but it still made me rage.
That evil prick fucking killed her, there is nothing else to explain it. I agree the case was weak because the police fucked this up so badly. Just stupid. So arrogant they would get him convicted they didn't bother with the forensics and went straight to a honeytrap? STUPID. Today the police wouldn't make such a dog's dinner of the case and he would be prison.
To watch him sit there laughing, grinning, and till this day denying it, while her sister is still living in anguish, boiled my blood all over again.
Second this!If you’d like to learn more about John Palmer I highly recommend the 2-series BBC production, Gold, its a drama rather than documentary but SO well made and incredibly absorbing.
I’m the sameMy problem is that I watch EVERYTHING, I have Netflix on my iPad and I watch it all the time when I'm doing jobs around the house e.g. laundry, making beds etc - to get me through the after work chores. But because i watch so much - i forget what I've watched. I'm 100% sure I've watched this but its already fallen out of my head.
If he's squeamish about gay sex or sub/dom stuff, it may not be the programme for him.Oh cheers for the suggestion.
Mr2 struggles with some subject matters but I can get away with this one .. I hope.
