I watched the mean girls episode about Kenzie t last night. There was a couple of interesting details that did not make it into the Netflix doc . This has been mentioned above but Kenzie had previously driven the same route that she crashed. This was approx 3 days before the actual crash . The doc showed a clip of her phone which proved that the same route had been driven before . This was shown on her phones GPS / previous location app. The other interesting fact is that where she crashed is an industrial park - I thought that she was driving home however no she actually drove Dom & Davion to an industrial park .
There were also a few audio clips played that Dom recorded on his phone of Kenzie whilst at his house where she was clearly very angry and issuing “ threats” to Dom because he wouldn’t go and open the door.

something else that was pointed out was that in all the clips that Kenzie posted of herself on social media she is not once seen wearing a seat belt yet on the night of the crash she is wearing one .

The driving to an industrial park has now led me to think that this was intentional on her part and that Davion was collateral. There would be no reason for her to be driving in an industrial park at 5am.

Making a Murderer kick started my interest in true crime! I've since realised that it was probably a very biased documentary and Steven Avery is probably guilty. I think Brendan (the nephew..was that his name?) is innocent though!

I went googling last night to refresh my memory about Steven Avery, and there's a documentary series that is a rebuttal of Making a Murderer, and it's called Convicting a Murderer, I think it was made in 2023.
The first episode is on YouTube, so I must watch that, there are ten episodes apparently but I don't know where to watch the rest for free.

I've watched the first three, not the last one.

Something feels a bit 'missing' (no pun intended) this series. I can't put my finger on it but I've found myself drifting off during every episode. One thing seems glaringly obvious - there are a lot of fucked up kids!

From the trailer, it looked very similar to the BBC's The Murder Trial. If you've never seen it, they're all on iPlayer - highly recommend. It's the kind of thing BBC do really well. I'm reserving judgement on C5's offering as I don't usually like their take on real life crime (too sensationalist)

You are right about it being similar to the BBC's version. I also really like the BBC programmes as well. I thought the C5 offering was decent and i also didnt expect much from them ( same reason). Once you have watched let me know what you think

I watched a programme on Channel 5 catch up last night called Murder In Shetland - Trial by Jury . Interesting watch , quite upsetting in some places. I dont know how family members/friends kept it together whilst in court.

There's a programme on BBC (and iPlayer) called Behind bars: sex, bribes and murder. It's a two parter about relationships in prison. I don't know if we discussed this one but it includes the Lenny Scott case where he got murdered after grassing up a prison officer and their relationship with a prisoner

I started to watch this yesterday and didn't think much to it and gave up half way through. Mobeen Azhar, who presented it, is supposed to be an award winning investigative journalist but he got on my nerves with his stilted questioning and umming and arrhing all the time. He seemed to me to be frightened of the males he was talking to but was ok with the women. Not going to bother with the second one.

Just saw a trailer on Sky Crime for a new documentary called Murder At The Post Office. All epsiodes available tomorrow (not sure how many there are)

I followed this case at the time and I have talked about it before on Tattle. I won't say too much now but I will watch with interest to see what they try and do with it - I've already shouted at the trailer

However, what I will say is that the Horizon evidence, and apparent basis for this programme, was not the critical lynchpin he and his legal team seem to think it was in my opinion. And you don't actually need a motive to prove a case - juries just like them.

Has anyone watched the documentary Alison on Prime about Alison Botha?

She was kidnapped, nearly decapitated, raped, disemboweled and...survived after extensive surgery and care. My eyes were out on stalks.

I think I've seen this or something similar. I remember the lady was dumped on the motorway, ignored by several passers by. Someone stopped to help her and he's now a doctor because of this

Has anyone else watched the Michael Jackson Trial documentaries on Channel 4?

Couldn't be arsed with it as it was all very well documented at the time. I think the interest in Michael Jackson good or bad has fallen vastly over the last 5 years or more.

I really hope he ends up in prison. He will just continue to abuse people. Poor Micah was just a kid when she met him. She never stood a chance.

I don't think we got told much about her time with him when she was a kid in the doc, I think she was groomed.

I’ve had a similar neighbour and you can’t do right for doing wrong. Thankfully she’s left and been replaced by a nice young couple.

Yes that didn’t sit well with me either. Felt I had to look away.

I watched it and holy sh*t - what a crazy story. I just honestly can't not think she's an absolutely idiotic self obsessed teenager but not a murderer. The whole thing gave me salem witch trial vibes and as much as I disliked her as a person, I was just grateful that social media wasn't around when I was that age.... there were flags for me with this whole thing. I personally don't think justice was served by her spending most of her life in prison. Absolutely tragic for all involved, and my heart broke for the parents. ETA all the parents, even if hers came across as idiots.
