I don’t like all of their episodes but I think the Redhanded podcast on this case is good. I had listened to it before watching the documentary and there are definitely a few things left out.Death in apartment 603 - the case of Ellen Greenberg . Disney+
A 3 part doc about Ellen’s death - feel like the documentary has just scratched the surface and there is way more to this case than what’s been covered .
I want to find out more ..
I can’t understand why this was considered to be a suicide ...
Not watched this yet but there was a very good podcast about it that I listened to last year. It is shocking how there was no criminal investigation into what can only be called abuse. The Mother of all Cons on iPlayer.
Remind me again why Münchausen by Proxy isn't a crime of abuse carrying a sentence?![]()

I watched series 5 ep1-3 today.
Dont want to put any spoilers incase people are yet to watch but I was confused by the university student. Was it a scam or something else?I've watched the first three, not the last one.
Something feels a bit 'missing' (no pun intended) this series. I can't put my finger on it but I've found myself drifting off during every episode. One thing seems glaringly obvious - there are a lot of ducked up kids!
Yes the podcast entitled “Believe in Magic” is excellent.. still available on BBC Sounds. Not watched this yet but there was a very good podcast about it that I listened to last year. It is shocking how there was no criminal investigation into what can only be called abuse.
I felt the same.I've watched the first three, not the last one.

I wish they’d said. The new series left me with a lot of questions!Dont want to put any spoilers incase people are yet to watch but I was confused by the university student. Was it a scam or something else?

I think the police accepted it was a scam. But yeah, it was a really odd one. The language barrier didn't help. Lost in translation.Dont want to put any spoilers incase people are yet to watch but I was confused by the university student. Was it a scam or something else?
I am sure that MBP can transfer to other victims as ultimately it is a metal illness and if not sorted will not go away. Scary she has followers who might be vunerable.Watched it today having never heard of this case.
The simple answer is it's a mental illness - that's why Beverley Allitt is still in Rampton. I think if they (anyone) could prove that Meg's liver disease and heart problem (her ultimate cause of death) was caused by being unnecessarily over medicated by her mother then you'd be talking. But still, Jean is unlikely to face any punishment if the MBP can be proved. The usual sentence for a diminished responsibility plea, which is likely what this would be and accepted by the prosecution, if the evidence from experts is strong enough, is a hospital order. But the subject of the 'threat' (Meg) is no longer here so what would be the point? Although Jean could have found a new target amongst her over 60's followers
A very sad case. I think her sister must feel so much guilt because basically she ran away and left Meg in Jean's clutches. So many WTF? moments though.
Yeah, sorry, I thought I intimated about her potentially having a new target on my post.I am sure that MBP can transfer to other victims as ultimately it is a metal illness and if not sorted will not go away. Scary she has followers who might be vunerable.
Yeah it was a strange one. Like you said I think that there was a language barrier.I think the police accepted it was a scam. But yeah, it was a really odd one. The language barrier didn't help. Lost in translation.
