Yes it’s a separate subscription to crime and investigation on prime but you should initially get a free month’s trial and not be charged, just make sure you cancel before the end of the free month.
That’s what I did to watch it and I can’t recommend this series enough. It’s one of the best I’ve ever seen.

Finished all ten episodes Crime in Progress yesterday. Not gonna lie - feeling a bit bereft today. I have SO much to say (as usual ) but I'll wait until everyone's finished.

It's made by A&E, who also make The First 48 and Accused: Guilty or Innocent? - that's why it's good.

And a second season has been ordered!

I’ve just watched The Perfect Neighbor on Netflix. Highly recommended.

Same - I didn't really fancy it as thought it sounded boring (and long) but it was very well done and thought provoking.

A series I enjoyed was "In the footsteps of killers" on channel 4, with Emilia Fox. It retraces older crimes that are unsolved.

I'll think of some more suggestions soon, I watch so many, the names all blur together lol.

I did think it was him from the start but then they were saying she could have caused the injuries to herself, which made me awful confused! Why do some men think murder is a better option than divorce?!

It definitely said at some point there was 8 episodes. I always write series I want to watch in a notebook (as I never usually get a chance to watch them when they're on, so it's so I can go back to find stream them) but Murder 24/7 I have down as 8 episodes

Oh, I'm glad I'm not the only one! I have lists of series that I'm following, including all the episodes names, on my phone so I can keep track, ticking them off as I go #alwaysextra

I rarely watch them these days tbh but there was a half decent one IMO about a fairly obscure UK serial killer on Amazon soberly titled "Confessions of a psycho killer". I have prime so it was free.

There's not too much info on Mackay: (Specifically chunks of his adolescence) except a couple of books; one contemporary one was published back in the 70's shortly after arrest. Another published more recently but it's just rehashing pre existing and old material. This doc interviews the detective in charge of the case which is a first AFAIK.

I first read about him in a case study years back and it got me curious.

That said ive just been across to Reddit & it's suggested that watching Convicting a Murderer is worth watching for a different perspective.

I’ve just finished watching convicting a murderer. It’s not often I would pay to watch something on top of all our tv subscriptions but it was worth it for the ten episodes. There’s a lot making a murderer left out/edited. Not sure what you think of Stephen Avery & the case but this series is very eye opening.

On Crime and investigation there's a programme called Judge Rinder: The case I can't forget. The first episode (I'm unsure if this programme will just cover this case) is about the unsolved murder of Lucy Hargreaves. I'm not really aware of this case.

Pretty sure it will just be a two parter. I didn't think he was a criminal barrister? Anyway, I'm aware of the case - I remember it being featured on the original Crimewatch back in the day.

Watched it today having never heard of this case.

The simple answer is it's a mental illness - that's why Beverley Allitt is still in Rampton. I think if they (anyone) could prove that Meg's liver disease and heart problem (her ultimate cause of death) was caused by being unnecessarily over medicated by her mother then you'd be talking. But still, Jean is unlikely to face any punishment if the MBP can be proved. The usual sentence for a diminished responsibility plea, which is likely what this would be and accepted by the prosecution, if the evidence from experts is strong enough, is a hospital order. But the subject of the 'threat' (Meg) is no longer here so what would be the point? Although Jean could have found a new target amongst her over 60's followers

A very sad case. I think her sister must feel so much guilt because basically she ran away and left Meg in Jean's clutches. So many WTF? moments though.

I am sure that MBP can transfer to other victims as ultimately it is a metal illness and if not sorted will not go away. Scary she has followers who might be vunerable.

New episodes added to Murder Trial on iPlayer if anyone's been following these Scottish court cases. This one is Death of a Dog Walker.

I believe Campbell's guilty, but I thought the evidence against him was weak.

Murder Trial, the programme featuring Scottish real life trial footage plus interviews with the barristers, families and sometimes even the judge, is back next Wednesday - Death of a Dog Walker. It's a two parter - I can't see ahead but I'm assuming it will be on consecutive nights.

Sorry to keep you hanging on but I have no tea I'd never heard of this case before I watched the programme. I was so angry afterwards that I was all prepared to have a big rant but I have calmed down since and I've had a nice week with my OH so not much time to write. I may be back to share my thoughts (most of which others have already covered) but I think the less I think about Kenzie, the better it is for me. What an absolute self absorbed, vacuous, immoral, truly horrible cunt she is. The kind of girl I would loathe if I knew her in real life (even before what she did)

On another note, I've just started watching something called The Many Lives of Benjaman Kyle. Never heard of this case before. Think it's on HBO Max but I've just watched the first episode on ok.ru (that's where I watch most of my crime stuff to be honest - John Aylward IYKYK) and going to watch the second now. I'm intrigued. The final two episodes are being aired tonight so should be available on ok.ru tomorrow. Any giveaway comments in spoilers please

The neighbour was so unfriendly! And then when the police asked her to move off the porch, she was all It's my house, I'm not moving!

I'd forgotten about her. Didn't know who she was, even though she lived opposite, and basically did nothing to help her (except call 911) like try and stem the blood and left her dying like a dog on her porch. Probably sent her a bill for the clean up!
