I'm assuming he fancied a change (name and location) because he's a convicted sex offender and general maniac when on c. I also assume he'd have had to make authorities aware of this, given that he was out on extended licence. He was convicted of Samatha's murder under his new name of Adam Watson so it must have been a legal change - again, I'm assuming)

It pisses me off this is even possible in the 21st century. Surely it can't be that hard to stop sex offenders/violent offenders changing their name. I thought they were going to change the law on this but looks like they can't be bothered. It probably wouldn't have saved Samantha but could have done if she googled her clients (she seemed quite aware of her safety ironically).
I watched murder 24/7 this week and I was shocked to see what’s his name, Hemming, murdered his partner with pre meditation and only got 15 years.
I couldn't believe that is all he got, he was so calculating and he couldn't have cared less. To ring up and say he had done it and then plead not guilty was unbelievable. It did say Life with a minimum of 15.5 so hopefully he never gets out.
I thought her daughter was so brave to let them film her interview.
I read he plead guilty to manslaughter initially, then changed his plea. Disgusting man.
He pleaded Not Guilty then changed his plea to Guilty half way through the proceedings.
Someone on the real crime thread has personal knowledge of the case and said the sentence is being appealed.
I think the police film them by default. If it ends up in a court room, which may have happened to avoid her publicly testifying, it's considered a matter of public record.

I think I've seen this or something similar. I remember the lady was dumped on the motorway, ignored by several passers by. Someone stopped to help her and he's now a doctor because of this
She managed to get her head back in place (somehow!) and crawled up to the road. Doctor bloke seemed really sweet.
One thing which struck me about the 2 perpetrators is that there was no sense of remorse, one of them pretended that he was a satanist. But during his exorcism it became clear he didn't have a good grasp of what that was.
