Not sure if this fits but have recently watched Trust me I’m a prophet on Netflix . There are many spoilers in the hidden bit.
The show is about Samuel Bateman - another FLDS nut job who is just another pedalo . He had 19 wives of which 9 were underage. The story is about a couple of who infiltrate the group and report him to the police ( umpteen times before they pulled their finger out and too action). The FBI got involved and there was a siege to arrest him.
The story ended mostly on a positive note that some of the wives escaped and now live a normal life . Which I think is brilliant. I also want to mention the bravery of Julia - who was the mother of 5 of Samuel’s wives who came forward to reveal what was happening behind closed doors. She also divorced her husband ( after Batemans arrest ) to set an example to her daughters . I can’t imagine how difficult this must have been for Julia - to be a mole and then have to go back to her home and pretend that she was still a believer of Bateman.

Well, i don't know what to make of that?! Experts seem convinced at least 2 cases of murder/suicide are double murders, possibly 3 more cases the same, but police adamant no further investigation required!

I didn't know they had one. Can we still donate? I will make a donation if so. Those poor kids, I just felt beyond awful for them. What a horrible end to a wonderful childhood they were having up until then.

I hardly ever watch things live, these always look interesting but I've never managed to watch one as I never can find the episodes on ITVX. Ive tried days later and nothing.
Fred Dineage did a documentary about Patrick McKay. The title escapes me at the moment. I think it might be Britain's most evil killers which is repeated on Sky CrimeI rarely watch them these days tbh but there was a half decent one IMO about a fairly obscure UK serial killer on Amazon soberly titled "Confessions of a psycho killer". I have prime so it was free.
There's not too much info on Mackay: (Specifically chunks of his adolescence) except a couple of books; one contemporary one was published back in the 70's shortly after arrest. Another published more recently but it's just rehashing pre existing and old material. This doc interviews the detective in charge of the case which is a first AFAIK.
I first read about him in a case study years back and it got me curious.

Watched it & still don't know what to make of it all. Did anyone watch Dr Phil where he had his girlfriend on talking about this? She met Avery after supporting him ( from what I can recall, she was a very well-to-do, intelligent woman, a lawyer of some sort maybe?) Anyway, she fell in love with him
- called him her great big teddy bear & talking about the wedding dress she'd bought in anticipation of their nuptials. Then next thing she was all over the Dr Phil show again a while after saying he's the most horrible person ever and she believes he's guilty.Apparently Avery threw a living cat onto a bonfire, so imo, he's an evil bastard anyway. Whether he's guilty of murdering this poor woman or not - as far as I'm concerned he's an uncivilized bastard and if he's locked up for life I'll shed no tears. Then at least the poor cat will have had justice.
