I wonder how close we are to getting a vaccine that actually avoids people getting Ill/infected, a la most year’s flu vaccine. I know repeat infections suddenly spiralled when Delta turned up (or a previous strain? Can’t remember) and originally the aim was it’d be less transmissible as well. I’m really bored of trying not to get Covid along with the rest of the world.
A long time I would imagine ,if at all .

Thousands die every year from flu the vast majority of those are vaccinated.
I find it very odd how many people I know who have the flu jab who then get the flu.. my mum was one of them, had the jab every year without fail and every year got really ill. she stopped having the jab and didn't get the flu again I am 64 and I've only had the flu once in my life and only then for a couple of days.

Strangely enough, when I used to tell people about my mum getting ill from it, they called me an idiot and said you cannot get flu from the flu jab... Now that mantra has changed to yes you can get mild flu from the jab. that happened because more and more now have the flu jab and that fact was getting harder to hide,

flu isn't a cold and flu is quite rare or at least it used to be before the vaccine.

I have not done anything to stop myself from getting covid, all Ido is take certain supplements so that if I get it I don't get it as bad as some do. I have no idea if I have had it or not .. I've had a few colds with sore throat etc but nothing worse than anything I had before covid. I suspect I have had it as it's not like I have avoided it and a few friends/family have had it and I have been around them. Strangely those friends and family that had it worse are those vaccinated and I'm not one for coincidence.

It's not dismissal?

Some people are presenting a view that an increase in liver issues in children could be down to the vaccine, others are saying it could be down to covid itself. There's also a possibility neither are involved.

Asking questions and challenging viewpoints isn't the same as dismissal. For me, it would be dismissal if someone said: "Your viewpoint is wrong, stop mentioning it", whereas no one's saying that and no one's shutting down conversations - they're just talking about it.

The irony is that by saying certain viewpoints are "insulting and disrespectful", you're the one who's attempting to shut down those parts of the conversation.
this is though, isn't it?

Yeah but this is probably from a fact checker that was funded by Pfizer, my unbiased mate who makes YouTube videos is much more reliable.

Some people here go to a lot of trouble to find evidence of what they say. (You have no idea how much evidence is hidden by the popular search engines ) I have noticed you don't post much evidence of anything just a lot of white knighting of some and piss-taking of others.

This is my search bar, it's ludicrous that I have to have something like this when all you have to have to back your claims is a google bar. You will never accept this until google and the rest hide something you know to be 100% true once they do you will wake up and see what has been hidden from you. Google is now removing anything pro Russian or anti-ukraine.. Google is a freaking search engine it should just show you what you are looking for not only what it wants you to see. How can you see both sides when one side of everything is hidden?

I could post reams of evidence and you’d dismiss it all because your mind is made up.

You claim to be open minded and wanting to see it all, but you stick rigidly to your viewpoint, so maybe you’re not what you claim?

No, I used to be like you and believe the BS I was told, then I see for myself that it was BS and the reason I stick to what I know, is I know it's the absolute truth. You on the other hand have never had a different view on this so I would suggest it's you who stick rigidly to your viewpoint.

I check, check and check again because I was fooled before. like you and the others I was arrogantly right because the TV told me I was right, the newspapers told me I was right every platform told me I was right. Those who claimed otherwise were nutters. Then one day I see something that I knew not to be true being pushed as true .. once you see it you can never unsee it. Once you see it you see it more and more until the whole illusion is uncovered.

Or maybe you saw one lie and wrongly assumed everything else was?

Either way you’re not going to win me over by acting like I’m just some fool who believes “BS”. It’s not exactly a strong argument.

The only thing primary schools had in place was no schoolbags to be brought to school and to keep windows open
Not true in England, primary schools had bubbles either year groups or class size bubbles - and therefore seperate playtimes etc. hand washing frequently through the day. No assemblies etc

The big difference was though in primary was if 1 child contracted covid the whole bubble shut to keep it out.

We had bubbles but ours were eyfs/ks1 and ks2 so more than 1 class. Never closed for a positive case. I think when we had our first case it was advised close contacts isolate but only if track and trace contacted you.

I said the kids were in groups ( ours still are ) the other person said there was masks and SD / testing which was not a thing in our primary schools…didn’t know the English primaries had to do that.

We’ve got no groups/bubbles anymore @monga all 420 in my daughters school are now back to mixing, mixed assembles etc

definetly nothing the difference, bar covid which I think is always there anyway and you can’t get rid of it we’ve now got sickness bugs spreading between all the kids for the first time in 2 years🤢

They classed close contacts in ours as the whole class - but our bubble was limited to the class

They still kept our kids the same only allow school bags. They don’t do assemblies

Bubbles were complete nonsense. Before my daughter took her three children out they were each in a bubble that could not mix with other bubbles well except at home and in the playground waiting for the other classes with the staggered times to let the kids in or out same as most of the children in the school that had siblings.

Most of the rules put in place were ludicrous such as having to wear a mask to walk into a restaurant but could take it off while sitting.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, will convince me otherwise, that we were nothing but an experiment to see just how far they can make us believe absolute BS and just do it. without questioning and even those who questioned it did it anyone who didn't was soon set upon by those who did.

Whilst I agree it didn’t make sense I don’t think it was an experiment - it was just rarely badly managed with bureaucrats making stupid decisions. Look at the state of Shanghai, people starving in apartments because they aren’t allowed to go to the supermarket, and if their children get covid they get sent to isolation centres without their parents. It’s crazy!

How about diagrams on how to hug a loved one? No singing? No dancing? no outdoor fireworks? So many other bizarre "rules". Utterly bizarre, the whole episode. Fascism plain and simple. Inhumane.

As I said above

"Nothing, absolutely nothing, will convince me otherwise"

I don't believe for one moment those in charge were clueless.

nothing made any sense when you think those who made the rules were breaking all of them. people got angry at those in charge for breaking the rules but they didn't question what made those people think they were safe to break that they made us follow? They had the best minds in the world at their disposal .. My opinion on that is, they were listening to the same best minds that I ( and others like me) was listening too and not the ones on MSM that the masses had to lisern too.

I was thinking earlier about how 2 years ago I wasn't "allowed " to buy a hairdye from the chemists. Nobody could tell me why, just because "of covid 19". The chemist was open but all the shelves were cordoned off and I had to stand on spot 2 metres away from the counter shouting to be heard, wanting to cry at the nonsense of why I could buy blister plasters but not much needed hair dye.
So much more nonsense we were subjected to (and still at some places) all in the name of "safe". But one thing that haunts me is all the people who went into hospital for whatever reason only to die alone. And their loved ones saying goodbye on the phone, if they were lucky. Inhumane 😪😢😠
