people can judge me all they want, I already had anxiety about the vaccine, I can’t see myself taking it now.

I feel very guilty, I made a strong case for my kid post DVT recovery to get the vaccine (previous disease of a solid organ, previous respiratory disease leading to partial oesophageal closure) and here we are.

I wonder what the risks are for migraine sufferers that the pill is a no, no for 
isn’t there an issue with the type of blood clots though? Something about the brain?
i don’t think the UK would cast aspersions on the “oxford vaccine” without real reason. They must be very worried to not just throw this back on the EU.
Yeh they are a very rare brain type. Not your normal but still deadly type. That's my very unscientific take on what I have read
It wasn’t just blood clot in the brain - cerebral venous sinus thrombosis that was reported, it was also thrombosis. Both were a very small number.

So the main reason for it all looking so bad is the short timescale rather than being worse than other things of similar probability.
Which may or may not help hesitancy, but I've had my first AZ and I'm genetically incapable of resisting a BOGOF so for me it's not even a question.

like dead sick.what I find more concerning is the UK’s decision. Big move casting even a fraction of doubt on the Great British vaccine they’ve gloated about for so long, and they ridiculed the EU for doing the same thing weeks ago.

I’m not debating the seriousness of this but you look at something like the contraceptive pill that so many women take without thinking twice. Their risk of blood clots are far greater than that of the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine.soooooooooo..... they got sick right
It worries me people take the pill without thinking twice! But that aside I'm sure there were similar concerns when the pill was first being introduced as well.
From what I've read it is a different type of clot to the ones you're at risk of with the pill, hence the concern. I think by the time those of us in our 20s are offered the vaccine, there will be more clarity and hopefully we will know a bit more.

This is where I feel anxious though in that I have a choice about the pill, I don’t feel I have a choice with the vaccine. Without revealing my medical details there are 2 medications I’ve taken previously that made me very unwell that the Dr doesnt prescribe me now and if I ever need an alternative it’s monitored really carefully (it’s nothing that would interfere with the vaccine to my knowledge but something that I don’t medicate for now unless it becomes a necessity but I try to avoid due to my experience) but we don’t get to choose which vaccine we have. I honestly wish I wasn’t so anxious about all this

I’m sorry you are feeling anxious about it, many are feeling the same, including myself (trying to not let it get the better of me by looking at the risks in the bigger picture). Could you possibly speak to your doctor about your concerns due to your medical history? Thank you, yes I am thinking about speaking to my Dr and I’m under the care of a CPN too, we’ve had a very brief conversation about it but I will try talking to her again. I know that she’s had hers so that might help me feel better if we talk more about it. I know it might be silly but I feel like I’m really struggling with this, it’s a pattern for me though I tend to get myself in a state worrying about something and then a few weeks later it’s fine and forgotten about x
I wonder what happens to the under 30's who have already had their first jab like my grandson.
I hope you are able to get some clarity if you are able to speak to your doctor and also some reassurance. It is not at all silly to feel like this, it is only natural to feel worried. Don’t be hard on yourself and talk to someone if you can, about your concerns to alleviate your worries and hopefully give you some peace of mind and calm.
I would think they would receive the 2nd dose as normal if they were okay after having had the 1st dose.
