We only have 5 in intensive care on our covid ward. We had wards created for it that have never been used, theaters converted, that now seems for nothing.Hospital in my City has today mothballed all excess vents and cancelled orders for new vents. Had a 100 bed ICU anyway, 50 beds were allocated for Covid, those 50 beds never got full. They've now reduced the Covid ICU down to 25 beds and they are not full.
People I've been chatting to seem to think that the lockdown was a bit much as they expected more people out and about and more to become ill because they didn't expect everyone to comply. Because the numbers are so low compared to worse case, they think they now want more people to be exposed so that the come the second wave in the Winter, the NHS can still cope
There are 30 covid patients at our local hospital. Last week it was 70. No deaths for 5 days. Hope this good news keeps coming. We only have 5 in intensive care on our covid ward. We had wards created for it that have never been used, theaters converted, that now seems for nothing.
The huge numbers they expected never happend, which is amazing.
We have had no deaths at our hospital for a few days too, fingers crossed it stays that wayThere are 30 covid patients at our local hospital. Last week it was 70. No deaths for 5 days. Hope this good news keeps coming.
I agree. I'd you and husband can work from home and your kiss are too young for school - I say do it.As it would be for longer than a few days then it would be classed as moving house. This is allowed during lockdown.
I think you need to do what is best for you. You wouldn't be breaking any lockdown rules.
You pay tax on it, as it will be classed as personal income. I don’t meet the VAT threshold so they m not registered, but I’m pretty sure it’s not anything to do with VAT.C
Tried to edit and deleted my first response by mistake .
Does anybody know if we pay vat on the self employed grants ? Which vat code do we use if so ??
Yes, but only in public places. Not gardens or drives apparentlyI’m confused, is the guidance (in England) that you’re allowed to meet one other person provided you’re outside and two metres apart?
are you furloughed or are you wanting to take unpaid leave? From a business perspective i suppose they dont have much choice if they need staff in for the ratios they either have to get the current staff back in or hire new ones. Especially with childcare settings having to re open in June they cant do so without the right amount of staff. They should try to work with you to find a compromise though. Hopefully when you get the call from management they will be able to help furtherDoes anyone else work in childcare? I’m currently listening in on a webinar and the woman has said on a couple of Occasions that if you refuse to go back to work HR has advised to start the disciplinary process! If your vulnerable it’s a different case scenario, I have told my work I don’t want to come back just yet as I don’t feel it’s safe enough and my mum is extremely vulnerable and shielding so after hearing that I feel anxious! My boss is calling me in the week to have a chat about a questionnaire she sent us but I’m worried now after hearing this information! I just don’t understand how they could potentially discipline people or take jobs away when people are scared of this or how they’d get new staff in?!
I guess it’s very difficult for employers, they should be furloughing you but I guess legally if it’s safe for you to work and there is the hours then they can make you. If you personally are not shielding I think they can put you on SSP or take action as breach of contract.Does anyone else work in childcare? Yes I knew it was to be recorded for tax and national insurance I just can't find anything relating to how to account for it for vat . We use QuickBooks so I have to put a vat code to accept itthank you though.

Thanks! Literally no one is following the guidance where I am, almost makes me feel like I’m doing something wrongYes, but only in public places. Not gardens or drives apparently

There’s nothing wrong with a photo of a grinning Health Secretary, the wind tousling his (receding) hair as he strides off to do great thingsYour profile picture is the only thing wrong here

But I’ve changed it anyway
If you have no child care you can take them, obviously they must also observe social distancing.Sorry if this has been asked but do babies / toddlers count as people?! As in can myself and my 3 year old meet my friend and her one year old (social distancing obv) both our husbands are still at work so it’s not like we have childcare... and surely us mums can exercise and see some one too?
I haven't put accepted it in to the quick books yet. But I was going to just use the other income category that is already there, this means it will show up as taxable income on our annual profit / loss account. But you need to put a vat code in@Keiffers pipe i could be missing something. But I can’t see how it’s anything to do with VAT. It should have been paid into your personal bank account and be classed as drawings/earnings.
VAT wasn’t part of the payment so there is none to claim or pay. How are you inputting it on quickbooks? As a supplier payment?
