Apparently Boris has told MPs not to go on Good Morning Britain. That tells me that they are scared of Piers Morgan and his interview style. I think GMB has been one of the things getting me through lockdown personally. No matter who you are, you get shouted at and held to account on that show and that makes me feel better.Got up earlier so I can watch piers this morning.

Well me and mum went yesterday, which was incredibleBut they'd moved the beds round since last week when mum went alone (to give the patients a slightly different view). So we initially stood waving, blowing kisses and making heart shapes with our hands to the wrong patient

My P2 (I think that's year 1 in England) has been known to kiss his friends in the past and they often hold hands. They play tig, share pens and food. Sit way to close to each other. Last year he caught nits and worms. They have no idea what 2 meters is and when we go out for a walk I still have to remind him 400 times that he must stay back from other people. Some of these photos are quite alarming. People just aren’t social distancing in the way that they were asked to. To be honest, though, I think we all knew that it would be ignored when it came to public transport.

Id like to know the reasons behind those years groups as well. Reality is the first wave was nowhere near as bad so they can afford to give rules that people will break because they are always looking for ways to bend things to suit them.
This way, they can bring about a bigger, second wave as we've got the space to deal with it as with the exception of London, no ICU units became full with Covid and now we have nightingales as back ups. Several hospitals in the North have taken vents out of service as they don't need them.
Regardless of what cover Boris puts on it, they are going for herd immunity, end of. So while all the people crowding on the tube is a potential disaster, its what they want to happen.
My brother as office staff at a university and have been emailed to say those who can work from will continue to do so and phasing staff back into the workplace could take a year-18 months.

I'm assuming reception to prepare them for year 1, year 2 to prepare them for Juniors and year 6 to prepare them for Secondary. These are the main years that, certainly in schools by us, will never have met a Teacher from from the year above as this would have happened in set up meeetings at school during the last term if they hadn't closed.

And once again, the early years have been left in the dark. We are fully open from the 1sr June, my nephews nursery isn't opening September and only having key children until then, some are opening next week, some are doing shorter hours, some are taking fee paying children only to reduce numbers as funding doesn't cover wages and costs and some are staying closed. Some will never open again.

After speaking to a tutor just last week, I was under the impression that there was no desire to have 200+ students in a lecture hall and online may be the only option for now.
It would be near on impossible to enforce it on the tube with a full service and full staff but in London there still is a reduced service. People are selfish and thoughtless when travelling and I’ve always said this gets worse under ground and in the air. I really do think they should be telling people they have to cover their mouths even with a scarf and also remind people about hygiene and hand washing. Sure it won’t stop it completely but if people have their mouths covered it might help a little bit, and people’s disgusting lack of hygiene is what helped us in to this in the first place so we really can’t under-sell the importance of making people wash their hands. There should be mandatory sanitiser stations at the tube barriers and staff checking they’ve been used and a face covering is worn.Some of these photos are quite alarming. He showed me the email and it does say face to face teaching will resume from September, starting with those where there is no realistic remote alternative.
That they will continue to restrict access onto campus for those who do not need to for research, teaching & work. That re opening will be a gradual process that at the moment it’s unclear but they believe it can take a year to 18 months to return to fully unrestricted access.
I don't think you can blame people for not social distancing when they have to use public transport. If they have to work and live across London what do you expect them to do? I unfortunately think that part of the problem is TFL. They don’t seem to be the most accommodating when it comes to accepting the measures that are being suggested regarding more trains etc. I know that the Unions are pretty much never accommodating so it shouldn’t be a surprise
BUT these are unique circumstances and all people need to give a little.How are they even going to do social distancing on public transport. Surely you could only have one person per have tube carriage for them to be 2 meters apart ?
Or on a bus you would need at least a row in front and behind empty (not even sure one row would be 2 meters) so you would be lucky to get 10 people on a bus socially distanced ?

I don’t understand what he expected from this? A pre recorded message that didn’t get broadcasted until 7 pm and then expects people to go back to work the next day. But don’t use public transport if you can.... use a bike or walk
I mean it’s pure dumb dumb isn’t it. A lot of Londoners for expample have no other choice but to travel on public transport.

That is because it is totally impossible to just get more trains. Some of the tube services run every 90 or so seconds, there literally isn't even space on the lines to run more services even if they had a warehouse full of disused trains, which they obviously don't.I unfortunately think that part of the problem is TFL.
