So my husband paused and screen shoted this to show me It's a ZOOMED in pic from channel 4 where they were showing hospitals with supposed Corona patients. They never let us know the patients were mannequins. very Odd
I saw this picture weeks back, fake news 😏

Googled this after seeing the second post, you are correct , it’s training for use of ventilators

“This is footage from a medical training facility. In the original Channel 4 report, which is 9 minutes and 25 seconds, there is nothing to suggest that this scene is supposed to show an actual COVID-19 patient on a ventilator. A closer look at the clothing and badge on the man in the video reveals that he is a respiratory therapist at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. The sign behind the bed reads: “No food and/or drinks allowed near mannequins and/or task trainers.”

Sorry for so many posts but it’s worrh adding that I found the report and it’s not made clear it’s a mannequin despite the sign and the training so is definitely a duck up on their part. (02.46)

People have been asking about shopping slots. I think unless you’re vulnerable home delivery will not be possible for most but as I’m up half the night I checked after midnight and loads of click and collect were available for Asda for a weeks time. They’ve all gone now but I guess it’s a case of waiting up for more dates to be released.

This place is my sanctuary for facts and laughs.

As I said few weeks ago I wasn't huge fan of idea of clapping.
But I come round to idea of thur clap.
Clap for children not my thing.
Clap nor Boris no but I was willing him to get better I got strangely upset the other night when he went into icu.

We live in a cu de sac. On the whole part from keyworkers everyone's following the rules they leave for shopping , food or exercise they maintain distance and say occasional hi or chat from distance in day with a few.
But last night it seemed like more came out than previous night.
I think it's become a event for some.
A little glimmer human contact.
Family over road waving at us like maniacs we haven't seen or said hi to them in weeks.
My kids get exited about it as just chance to connect to feel together.
Maybe lockdown I totally lost my mind.

On Facebook there's always been same people who are seen to be seen.
They always have announce their good fees no matter what it is.
Or they post running commentary of their life's struggles can't get food delivery/No garden, thier wonderful morning home schooling.
What's with photographing or videoing themselves do a jo wickes workout.

I post mostly memes and few nice shots of kids for family thats about it.
The local groups gone crazy they full of anger.

I want a whitty mug.
I assume trump does fake tan and she's his hair to look so odd.

I’m aware the minister may be spinning it but I don’t know why the newspapers are kicking off about the minister taking supplies to his parents. If there’s literally nobody else to do it I thought that was acceptable to drop supplies?

Had to style my hair apply make up and trek to the store yesterday-
Anyway, besides the ppl masked/gloved up, the really strange thing was waiting for the cashier to wash down the conveyor belt that ppl put food on. After every single checkout, the girl had to spray it down again and wipe it clean. It had a really bad chemical smell, obviously from the spray. This poor girl is breathing this in, getting the chemicals on her hands, etc. She wasn't gloved or masked up..almost as if she was like "f- this, I'm ready to check out myself".

Ppl have lost their cotton picking minds.
Please take these sort of posts to the conspiracy theories thread.
Admin: not trying to moderate, but there are members on this thread who have lost loved ones and these type of posts are completely insensitive. Thank you.

I'm surprised no one seems to have found some rather dark humour in large parts of the UK population giving NHS staff the clap.
Oh they have

My brother in law proudly announces each week he's going to give some NHS workers the clap, accompanied by thrusting movements (via facetime)

3 weeks in and he still thinks its funny

My opinion is if you want to clap, you can clap in your living room, your toilet, your bedroom.
It is your appreciation to them.

ALSO if you don't want to clap at all. DON'T.

We can appreciate them in our own ways.

(saucepans should be use to smack all those people out illegally 🤪 )

Ive had good luck just checking at random points in the day. Was able to get us a tesco one and my sister A Morrison’s one. Both around 4/5pm that they’ve been on there

we went to Morrison’s yesterday at 4:30 and it was fine, queue wasn’t bad at all and stock levels were high. Could get everything we needed.

Are any slots for Morrison’s, Tesco or Asda coming available? Is there a time to check?

Sorry if this has been asked before.

My neighbor went to Morrisons yesterday at 2.00pm and she didn't get home until 5.30pm 😱

(She told me this in a message I wasn't watching her at the window 😂)

Its had the best stocked shelves I've found so far, and even when the peak of the panic buying happened, I wondered what everyone was going on about because I didn't have any problems at my local Morrisons. I've also found M&S to be well stocked throughout.

I have found that the queues outside supermarkets round where I live, although long do move quickly, since the stores are so big they can fit a lot of people in.

The grim queue is the one outside Boots, now they have switched to not letting you in the shop to go find what you want off the shelf yourself ... they interrogate you at the door as to what you want and then get escorted to it (or the pharmacy counter) and escorted back out again afterwards. So it takes forever if a couple of people ahead of you have lengthy dealings at the pharmacy counter. I needed hayfever pills the other day (a super strength one that you have to ask over the counter for) and the strict matron on the door made me feel so guilty for being there. Cheers Boots, muppets.

My husband thinks I’m being overly dramatic when I tell him how stressful grocery shopping is right now!

I know everyone has their different opinions on the clap and whether it should be done or not but let me tell you something from a front line workers perspective

We can spend up to ten hours a day in full PPE , some days with lead aprons under all that , heat exhaustion , we end up with sore throats and bad chest from breathing in hot recycled air because of the masks we have to wear, when we do take them off , we are left with cuts on lips and noses and marks all over faces because of how tight they have to be, cuts and split skin over my hands over how often I have to wash them every day , some nights it burns when I have my bath because of how red raw they are , waking up through the night because of images you see that you can take back, going home to an empty flat every night because your other half has moved out because of the high risk I carry from being around it all day , it can be like groundhog day every day

So yes , some people may not want to do the clap and that’s their decision but when I’m coming home from work and I see the people in the streets doing it or if I’m at work still and I see police force and fire engines outside of A&e with their sirens and bullhorns , it gives u that slight glimmer of hope inside, it puts a smile back on your face , everyone comes together for that one minute a week and it gives u that inner strength to continue
