What I mean is the people who are going to die are going to die anyway. This is a fact. The governments should have invested and opened up nightingale hospitals to treat the Covid-19 patients way before they have and allowed the hospitals and life in general to carry on as normal. This tanking of the economy and loss of jobs was not the right move here.

Governments are afraid of death, if the citizens die then they will be blamed but these people will die anyway. That is what I was told when I had it. They can't treat you and it is survival of the fittest, basically.
Your opinion is not based on facts. The overall number of people who die from the virus is not the same regardless of the length of time or other measures in place. If lots of people get the virus at once by allowing it to spread on its own the death rate will be significantly higher than if people caught it slowly and at a reduced rate up until the point when we have a vaccine.
There might not be a cure but there are numerous things that are done to treat the symptoms.
Your comments are incorrect and downright dangerous.

Alright, Ill shut up and wont mention it again. At the end of the day were all allowed our opinion you have yours and I have mine.
I just think it's not fair at all to judge just because someone didn't come out of their house and put their hands together for 1 minute. You don't know what they've got going on and frankly, nobody HAS to do it. Doesn't mean that they have any disrespect towards the NHS. I'm honestly sick of people thinking that someone not clapping means that someone doesn't appreciate it. I've heard people say it already too much and I'm over it.

I feel like people are doing the clap for their own mental health - to feel like they are doing something. I don't really feel it helps the actual staff in any way what I hope they are going to get is better working or pay conditions after this.

What I find a bit vulgar (for want of a better word) is all the patting yourself on the back that goes on after the clap. Videos of people out doing it or telling their street well done for clapping ?! Why !

I'd love to know how many people read this thread but don't comment, just sit there wondering what the hell they're reading 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Boris in ICU, dirty skets in Sainsburys, death toll, threesomes with half the political party and washing cars...and that's just page 27.
Couldn't write this shit. 😂😂

Today’s update... (sorry, I know this is boring but really helps my anxiety to post at least once). Today I have been less angry and it’s generally been an ok day. I felt like a lottery winner this morning when I had two extra black bags next to the full bin and the bin man took them all 👍🏻😍 (small thing I know) and I have just pottered around all day and breathing fine and tiredness almost gone (day 14). We did clap for the NHS and most of the street was out, and it was nice to see “people” and wave etc. It has got a bit strange though as one family had a pan last week, had a drum and a trumpet tonight 😬. Hubby is expecting they will have a monkey with cymbals by next Thursday. 🤣🤣🤣

Some positives from the ROI.

224 cases have been admitted to ICU, 53 patients have been discharged from ICU, after recovery, to date.

a month tomorrow since schools closed here, it’s good to see recovery stats finally coming in.
and it’s good to see patients are coming out of ICU.

Only sexual part about Whitty is he looks like sperm 🤷🏻‍♀️
It’s always the quiet ones who surprise you. I bet he’s into some right kinky shit.

I’m not even going to apologise for that comment.

I can’t go out and socialise. I haven’t seen another human in days. This thread is all I have.

Exactly. There's always going to be people who don't listen regardless. They probably don't have the money to pay the fines either & dont care about being shamed on the local Facebook group

My issues this virus is new and the response to it is new, Britain has always prided itself on freedom and now we are being told we can't have freedom. So basically your telling people you know that thing you done your whole life, well don't. Some people rightly so are following the rules (myself included) but there will always be those who refuse to be told what to do regardless of outcome. I don't go out everyday and when I do it's to the local shop or the local field and walk with my sons. I practice all of what's been suggested and I would desperately hate for the little bit of freedom I do take for myself and my son's to be taken away because a few idiots can do as there told. It's like being back in school and the whole class getting detention because the popular kids can't fucking behave.

It’s definitely starting to take a toll on my mental health now. I was ok for a couple of weeks, but this week has been shit. I dumped a post on the support thread which has helped me get it out my system a bit (super grateful for the replies from people who I see also post here so thank you).

I thought fuck it and ordered the kids a pool for the garden. It will probably be shit weather by the time it arrives but it should last longer than the crappy blow up paddling pools we’ve gone through over the years so I’m telling myself it’s an ‘investment’.

Also ordered a new mattress(in a box) as it was very much needed and I figured maybe having a better sleep and not waking up with a sore neck and back every day will help with my partners mood and also my mood.

Not ‘essentials’ but the companies are still operating so🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s given me the tiniest amount of joy.

This was never about the "virus" and all about control. Their future sees humanity in bondage and absolute servitude to our leaders. They are acclimating us to their coming slave system. We are collateral to them. Compulsary vaccines next honney
Ooh I honestly love people like you; it fascinates me that your level of crazy exists freely in our communities and that I might rub shoulders (not currently 🤪) with your ilk regularly. It literally blows my mind.

Please can you share more about your philosophies and theories? There’s not much on the telly tonight, I’ve had a few wines, and frankly I could really do with some belly laughs.

Clapping or not clapping is the least of our worries right now, we've got a potentially lethal virus going about and the threat of a police state being demanded by half the public. All this causes fear, we're all scared and it isn't healthy. Maybe we need to take a step back and remember who we were three weeks ago?
I completely agree.

If people want to clap, awesome. Go ahead. You do you! If that's how YOU want to show your appreciation then there's nothing wrong with that. But jeez, don't worry about what other people are doing.

It's not the clapping that's the issue for me. It's that some people who are taking part are getting this attitude that they're better than the people who don't. I stay out of the clapping debate as much as I can but when someone is insinuating I don't care about the NHS because I didn't clap, I'm going to step in, pandemic or not.

People are suddenly SO concerned about what others are doing. I understand if people are obviously breaking the lockdown rules but criticising people for the little things is just OTT nitpicking.

Just to follow up on my Auntie and not being able to order any food online for her... I emailed Iceland because it was showing as no slots available. I explained the situation and the next day, loads of available slots. But only for people over retirement age and vulnerable. 🎉🎉👌✌

Do you live next door to my sister?! She's taking no notice because she hates Tories and won't be told what to do by them 🙄
I literally felt real hatred for Boris in December, wasn’t sleeping over the vote etc etc.... but I’m still going to follow the rules because a) it’s not a Tory rule as such and b) even if it was it’s the right thing to do. I kind Of feel like politics don’t even matter now, we’re all human beings trying to get through this thing and I genuinely wish him well in hospital and hope he’s getting better. This virus doesn’t discriminate we’re all in it together.

Those calling for schools to be reopened while new cases (as far as I know, new hospital admissions) are still rising sharply need to rethink, honestly. Not that schools ever really closed... we have had staff in on a block rota and various numbers of children every day since “closure”, it’s absolutely draining and as it is and nerves are shot to pieces. Theory is all well and good but it’s the practical nuances that cause so many problems - there is no social distancing in school. It’s difficult to impossible to isolate sick children. You’re just creating a concentrated source for the virus.
There was a science report on BBC the other day saying there's no real reason to close schools as children are not affected that seriously by Covid19

It seems everyone is desperate for schools and childcare to reopen and to be done ASAP.

I find it quite amusing that the same parents who have claimed I'm overpaid and have an easy job are now stressed out with their own children after 3 weeks because they can't think how to entertain them. That comment came from the parents of a 2 year old I look after, Dad's a Solicitor and Mom works 3 days a week but she comes to nursery Monday to Friday and does 730 till 6 without fail, even when Mom and Dad take annual leave.
