Anyone else getting stressed about the thought of going to the supermarkets with the pictures of herds of people in them? I'm hoping that when I need to I'll figure out a time when they aren't so busy or if smaller shops are still. How can we ban large groups of people and have 200+ pushing and shoving to get what they want. I will definitely be panicking 😓
I'm literally keeping my corner shop open. I dash there and dash back, I made soup today and will freeze it for a few dinners.

I'm not sure on why they have said a high bmi of 40+ means your higher risk but saw it on the gov.uk website so I think it's best for you to keep doing as you are. Wish you well ❤
@Shivers I think it's to do with the ability to ventilate you when you're over weight.
Sure someone said on a seperate thread that when you're obese (+40 BMI) it's more difficult to ventilate you or the risk is higher.

Local boots has staff at the door asking if you are buying essentials or browsing. You cannot browse or look at anything make up etc. Only to buy what you need.

Just went to Lidl 10 mins before they closed. It was pretty empty and shelves pretty well stocked. Only thing they didn't have is the only thing I wanted - bleach. Ended up getting toilet cleaner but I'm going to have to scrub with that aren't I 😬. I think stock shortages will be all over by next week.

I have behaved with a social conscience which is what's got me here with no food 😂. And that may sound ridiculous to you but my feelings are my feelings and I'd be lying I said I dont wish I had bulk bought because I do.
Go to local shops like co-op, nisa, budgens, farm shops etc and you’ll be able to get everything you need. It’s only the big supermarkets that are cleared of everything. I went to a small shop yesterday and the fridges were full of meat and milk, fresh veg was full. The ONLY thing they didn’t have was toilet paper and uht milk that I noticed

I popped out to the supermarket, and it was full of people everywhere. A shop next-door that sells fitness equipment had a massive queue. I'm honestly baffled. Nobody was keeping any distance. People just don't seem to understand that we should only really go out to get essentials! Such as food. Queuing in front of a fitness shop, I just don't understand. There were also various people that were coughing and sneezing without covering their mouth! I'm just so upset.:cry:

Snowdonia national park have issued a statement saying it has ‘experienced its busiest visitor day in living memory’ (Saturday)
I have just called my mum to wish her happy Mother’s Day. Her neighbours have just returned from the Braemar Fred Olsen ship , they have flown back from Cuba and arrived home yesterday and have been told to isolate for 14 days. Today the neighbours were seen waiting for the bus together.

Just wondering if all the posters from the early threads who were defending hoarding and bulk buying still feel the same?
I didn't bulk buy. I started adding extra to my shopping weeks ago because we knew this was coming 🤷‍♀️ I don't agree with panic buying stacks of supplies and clearing shelves like we're seeing now. We could all see what was happening across the globe and nobody wanted to prepare.

I get if people nip to the local shop and can’t quite give that up yet, that’s one thing but to be actively socialising with others. I know people are going to struggle but seriously!!!!
