I didn’t catch the press conference today but I guessed it was basically a final warning before you get a disciplinary kind of chat.

I’m betting my mother gets a letter re her asthma and I hope it might get her to take it more seriously.

also heartbroken to read the youngest victim was 18 today. that’s absolutely no age at all.
The final warning came only after several journalists asked Boris some tough questions. He was being very evasive in his answers and only after he was pressured, he kind of , sort of said he will consider other measures. Very disappointing. Pointless conference yet again.

I'm going in circles on the internet trying to find info - my sons partner who is asthmatic is self isolating with her 22 month old daughter. My son has been working away and is due home at any moment. Does he need to self isolate with her or can he continue to work? He has no medical problems and is well under 70.
Is she self isolating as she has coronavirus symptoms? Has he been working abroad?

I am shocked at the absolute idiocy of some people. Just stay in home and watch telly. How hard is that seriously? These people are just going to make it a lot harder for everybody else and the state of our country.

i Think it’s all hit me today and I’m having a bit of a melt down :( I suffer from anxiety and depression anyway and today has set me of. I volunteer at the blue cross And one of the staff was telling me today how there really struggling and have been told to go down to 12 cats and five dogs when they have nearly double that normally so they can’t help as many as they have been for maybe 12 weeks or more. So I offered to take one of the lifters on kittens into foster care to help ease the pressure. But I’ve got home and my mom and dad have said no. I’m 28 but still live at home. I know I sound like a petty brat now but I really thought it’d be fine we are cat lovers. It’s upset me as I wanted to help during this time in some way as I have no job currently been out of work since December. So now I’m having a good cry. Sorry to sound complelty pathetic think it’s all got on top of me today xx
You don't sound like a petty brat in the slightest, it was really kind of you to offer to foster the litter. It's such a hard time for everyone right now, and I'm sure your parents don't mean to upset you- so many people are acting out of character because they're frightened and nothing seems normal any more, maybe speak to them tomorrow to find out their reasons for not wanting to foster the kittens- it could be as simple as they're worried you might not be able to get food for them.
Maybe if the Blue Cross Shelter advertised that they were struggling to find homes for the kittens, people would come forward with offers of help.
Please try not to feel overwhelmed, you sound like a very kind person x

Thats a lovely idea But Ill be honest if my child turned up with a handful of kittens without telling me my immediate reaction would be 'absolutely bleeping not'.
Are your parents maybe worried of the additional cost of feeding and caring for said kittens in such an uncertain time? If one of them needed medical attention would you need to pay for it or ensure you took it to a vets?
Especially if you're unemployed it may just be an added stress to an already worrying time.
I think it'd be a bit of a shock for anyone without a discussion.
Just trying to see it from their point.
Hey :) I didn’t bring them home but said I’d offered . Blue cross would give me food and pay any vets bill but yeah I can see your point :( think sometimes my heart takes over and I just offer things without thinking xxx

Oh bless you, how kind of you to think of helping those kittens. I'm sorry your parents haven't allowed this to happen. Do you think they might come round once they've had time to think about it? I think it would really help you with your depression and anxiety if you had kittens to care for as it will stop you dwelling on things, could you try pointing this out to your parents? 😘
Mom said she’ll reconsider in a few weeks and I know it would help me a lot! ❤ Just makes me think as soon as I get a job I’m gonna save like mad an get a place of my own so I can rescue some cats 💗

Not been on here today and only on page 9 so a lot to catch up on. Anyway, just need a rant. My idiot neighbours, around 10 of them plus kids, are stood in the street socialising. How thick are people? I've never really liked them before but now I hate them, lol.

She has no symptoms and no hes been working about 50 miles away.
Well although none of us have health issues, my daughter returned from University last week where she had been living with 9 other people, some of whom had coughs but we still let her come home as her Uni closed and she didn't want to stay there.

If your son hasn't been around anyone with symptoms or who had to go into self isolation then it should be fine but that's just my opinion.

Thank you 💗 guess I’ll find a different way to help a person or animal xx I can’t help with money as I have none but I’ll maybe say I can volunteer a extra day as lots of their staff have self isolated xx

I spoke to my parents tonight, they're under 70 so think they're fine. I'm self isolating and told them they should be too. My mum said 'if your time's up your time's up, Que Sera and all that'. I said normally yes but when you can change that and literally save lives by just staying at home why wouldn't you? 🤷‍♀️

I can't understand him keep using the term 'enjoy'. What the hell is there to enjoy about any of what's happening?
Piers is speaking the truth a lot of the time, and I really don’t understand why Boris is acting like his is, he might not want to scare people, maybe that’s why hes Acting like he is, but he’s doing the opposite of what he should be doing and he’s making everyone feel complacent.

i said it earlier but if I wasn’t on social media and I was just going on these PM press conferences I’d be feeling ok 🤷‍♀️
