Well all the government ads saying 2 is not enough against omicron annoying when you have a teenager who can only have 2.Are 2 jabs effective against the Omicron variant? Or is the booster absolutely necessary to protect against it? I heard on the radio the other day that 2 jabs is beneficial, even against the Omicron variant, but we've been told booster is needed.
I always thought booster 4 was for Omicron only. Are 2 jabs effective against the Omicron variant? Or is the booster absolutely necessary to protect against it? I heard on the radio the other day that 2 jabs is beneficial, even against the Omicron variant, but we've been told booster is needed.
Teens may fair better their immune system would be very active compared to older peopleWell all the government ads saying 2 is not enough against omicron annoying when you have a teenager who can only have 2.
Saw this on twitter.
Really worried about my parents in March if omicron still high and no ones testing.
We have had more child admission with omicron than any other time pandemic.
128 kids lives lost is more than the entire new Zealand death total.

Depends what you want to believe. Are 2 jabs effective against the Omicron variant? Or is the booster absolutely necessary to protect against it? I heard on the radio the other day that 2 jabs is beneficial, even against the Omicron variant, but we've been told booster is needed.
Yet people forget the virus has mutated since the start of the pandemic and can evade immunity from previous infection/vaccine. That doesn’t mean the vaccines are useless. As I have previously said, initial trials of the vaccines where against dominant strains at that time and they did reduce transmission/severity/death. Since then, the virus has mutated, however the vaccines do protect and reduce risk.Depends what you want to believe.
On one hand we're told that vaccines don't work against Omicron, but in the next breath we're told the booster works.
The booster is exactly the same dose, and the same vaccine that we've had since the start
It would be interesting to know who are those in hospital suffering from the Omicron, and whether they have only had two jabs, but zero booster, or whether they are all unvaccinated. Unvaccinated means no jabs at all, right? Or do they mean unvaccinated against the Omicron? I'm assuming it's no jabs whatsoever.Depends what you want to believe.

I don’t see this going down well.
Living with covidI don’t see this going down well.
I'm triple jabbed 2 pfizer 1 moderna.Well I’ve had 3 vaccines and still caught the omicron variant. I don’t think any amount of the current vaccines can protect against this particular variant. What I will say though is while I felt absolutely shite the first few days, I have recovered so much quicker! It’s been a week tomorrow now and I’m ready to leave the house.
I'm triple jabbed 2 pfizer 1 moderna.
The booster do make me feel ill for a few days.
I never have actually had covid..
I don't think vaccines do stop you getting covid look at lier starmer hes had covid twice and been boosted.
Like I say I don't think vaccines especially when infection prevalence high and omicron being more transmissible means you will pass on or get covid.
Buy maybe im going on blind faith what others said and hospital admissions saying that's im less Likely end up seriously ill or in hospital is a good thing.
I guess its one if those things we will never know but we do know there's a lot of unvaccinated in hospital and saying they wish they had the jab.
Also important thing some forget is every individual immunological response is different so say you immunological compressed or elderly the % of protection may be lower than the average person .
So hes there will be some vaxxed in hospital too.
Also the vaccine is based on the 1st varient so maybe needs be tweaked and 2nd gen brought out that hopefully has longer lasting than 12 weeks.
100%. I have not knowingly had covid. I had the anti body tests twice now offered by local hosp due to a trial with anti bodies in younger people (im now 30). Ive had 2 vax and the booster. After my booster i was horrendously ill for 4 days. I am now thinking personally, i probably wont have a booster again unless it affects my ability to travel or go out socialising. Not refusing but may leave it quite a while.Maybe. I've got two fully vaccinated people that I know who are refusing any boosters after how ill they got even though they were fully vaccinated.
One was in hospital for over a week - both of them have unvaccinated friends who have had covid and been fine
Like it or not, people will act anecdotally and personally to what they do going forward
You can chase them, it might not make a difference if the test labs are overwhelmed but it could help.Waited 3 days so far for my 6 year old results. He's scared. Can I ring and chase?
