If they can't produce the baby and refuse to cooperate with the police the manslaughter charge will stick and they will be appearing in court. They are responsible for the child, if they have illegally handed the child over to someone else they need to tell the police as that is neglect. Either way they're going to jail, can't see even the best barrister getting them off. Police have evidence that they had an infant with them.

I just hope that baby died peacefully in their sleep or something and was then buried and wasn’t just left somewhere to die on its own because it was slowing them down. Literally can’t stop thinking about the poor thing 
They found her placenta! I'm pretty sure they can tell from that how far along she was etc.
Just a little bit of info. My friend lives in the road they were arrested and local chit chat is saying they were ‘living’ on the allotment in a caravan. He doesn’t know who the caravan belongs to but that it has been there been for a long time. He doesn’t have any knowledge of the baby. 
I think the police would have had eyes on them for a while in the hope it would lead them to the baby. When it became clear that the baby was no longer with them / being visited by them then they would have then made the decision to arrest. They may have waited to arrest them when they were in the public and recognised so that the evidence they have from surveillancing them is less known to protect evidence for trial. Also the press would scrutinise why they weren’t arrested sooner but I’d think the priority would have been to find proof of the baby being alive and rescuing them.
It might have been at one of those food waste initiatives that anyone can go to.
You do for the “big names” ie Trussel trust and their ilk but most local ones aren’t as strict because requiring that puts a lot of people in need off going.

I agree for social care to remove a child they need so much evidence hence why they are continued serious case reviews because they were unable to mitigate the risk to the child

Depends on the food bank. There’s one near me run by a church - they’ve set up like a shop and anyone can just walk in and take what they need (there’s even an honesty box in case someone who can afford food has forgotten eggs or something)
I don't doubt this was a silent approach in the first instance. They're a massive flight risk
In my local area, you can just go into a food bank especially if its a church and ask for help it is a lengthy process though and you have to share alot of details about your situation.

I find it unbelievable that they were using foodbanks whether the baby was alive or not because it's a huge risk of being caught surely. But I think the thing is they are clearly not all there mentally/ not thinking at all rationally so we just can't apply usual laws of reasoning to their actions.

Her mental state will have got immeasurably worse over the past 7 years since isolating with Gordon to the extent that something like this has come to pass.

No matter what she’s done - and I’m not saying that I agree with any of her actions - I hope she is being provided with the right level of psychological support alongside the police questioning.
I know it sounds god awful and harsh, but I think they should be searching landfill.

She'll be provided with the bare minimum whilst in custody. She'll have been assessed by a doctor, possibly a midwife and have access to a legal professional. She will also have been assessed to ascertain if she is fit for interview, her human and legal rights will be respected but this is a serious matter, a baby is missing and she is responsible.
The press are spinning this as wealthy aristo and the dangerous man and I'm sure she has been adversely effected by experience and circumstances but failing to cooperate is concerning, she appears to have an issue with authority and has put her child at risk. There must have been many situations she could have spoken privately to people who could help, who, if coercion was a known factor would have offered solutions and help, she's now in a separate environment and no doubt the police are offering her lots of opportunities to speak.

To be fair they never found Corrie McKeague’s body when it was believed to have been in landfill and he was 200lbs. The chances of them finding an infant are very small.
