No, I don’t think I am. Mid 90s was not a good time to be black in a southern state.

My point is that some, obviously motivated and able, prisoners, of any ethnicity, have manage to educate themselves to a high level and turn their life around, both in the UK and the US. Obviously they’re the exception, but well done to them.
It does not appear that MG has manage to go down this route.
ETA: Plus, he was released and deported when he was 34, what’s he done, as a British Citizen with access to adult education, to improve his lot since then?
