Came here from watching Enlightenedprophetz on Instagram, best laugh I've had all day. Lorraine on GMTV interviewing professor from Bristol on climate change, showing the effect of "climate change" in the Himalayas, and the pollution eased by lockdown. Only trouble is, the same two guys are in the pictures supposedly taken three years apart 😂 coming soon to a screen near you ...your next episode of fuckery ...climate change 😄 ps soz oohthedrama but a lot of your trusted sources are lying to you hun.

I must say that I didn't actually SEE anything. I'm not sure what I was expecting to see but looking at them without the headline in mind would not have made me think something terrible was going on if that makes sense.
I feel like this is a slightly odd statement to make because... well, what can they show you without it being distasteful?

I remember during the first outbreak in Italy there was footage of hospitals being full and people being laid on their stomachs (as I understand that helped somehow?) because they had no ventilators. Reflecting on it, it's distasteful to show that

In India the most I have seen shown were the outside crematoriums (though I haven't had huge access to the news channels because of uni, and I haven't looked at news articles since moving) and even that's a bit distasteful even if they're not straight up showing bodies burning

I also think it's interesting that a lot of the stuff that has happened in other countries were the worst case scenarios for the UK that we were very lucky to avoid because measures were taken (even if they were extremely late at times). Plus, I'm sure there are NHS workers here or elsewhere that have discussed how bad things were a while back 🤷‍♀️

I completely believe the situation there is grim even down to the bodies falling from the ambulance ,but then I believed the scenes in China were genuine too it doesn't take long to die once cells are starved of oxygen .

First time posting here, but have been reading avidly for ages, feeling relieved that others were able to put into words the feelings I've been having! I'm not very good at posting and sharing my views, partly because I can't explain them a lot of the time, it's more of a feeling than based on knowledge, which can mean it's dismissed easily. I'm also really anxious and struggle with confrontation, so learnt from an early age to just keep myself quiet and hidden in certain environments. Please be gentle with me 😅

I've recently been learning about the 'highly sensitive person'... It's me to a tee! But not used an a criticism for once - yay! Always felt like such an outsider in friends/family groups as someone questioning everything and thinking 'out of the box'. Wondered whether anyone else here related to it also?

Also, does anyone follow Clare_hocking_okell on Insta? (Hoping this is allowed as she has over 10K followers - please forgive me if I'm wrong!) Would love to know your thoughts on her recent posts regarding Hilary Clinton! 🤯
Hi, welcome😊

I too would be interested in seeing what people think of Clare_hocking_okell. - personally I cant take her seriously. But that’s just me.

I'm not a hard core CT but if you watch the video I posted with Geert Vanden Bossche, he believes this wave is being caused by more deadly mutations driven by the mass vaccination program they had there.
This doctor thinks it’s a more lethal variant causing it and even the British scientists said the variants mutate to escape the vaccines

This is going round on SM. Why would the media use old pictures to highlight the current crisis in India??? The bottom photo shows the date 07.05.2020.
I saw this earlier. Those pictures and the footage that's being posted of people collapsing is all from a chemical leak.
I'm not denying India have it bad right now, but the coverage as it is, is to scare and to coerce fence sitters and younger people into the vaccine.
I've seen the media show all this from India, then in the next breath say how close we came to the same fate and to make sure you get both jabs.
Let's accept that this is all really happening over there and the footage is real - well how disrespectful and insensitive to show dying people and pyres and then in the next breath say "get vaccinated folks!!"

Speaking of pyres, it's seems quite a normal thing over there. I'm happy to be corrected if anyone has other experience and if I'm wrong. I mean no disrespect, and can only go by a Google

However, speaking of fake media footage

Just watched the latest video from Ivor Cummins on the data from India, purely looking at the data. They’re not within the ‘bad flu’ range at the moment, for a country with such a huge population.

It’s definitely being used as propaganda to scare other countries where the virus is now at an endemic level, it’s even been on the news in the US which is unusual because the mainstream channels rarely report on what’s going on outside America. The video also highlights the reuse of old imagery from a leak at a gas plant 11 months ago, that’s now being repurposed for this.

Also saw a quote on Twitter recently which I thought was apt - “if you didn’t want to compare Sweden with the UK, then don’t start comparing India to the UK now”

Absolutely disgusting.
15 years and thousands and thousands of lives lost of effected.
Hard to excuse this.

“NHS is ‘sleepwalking into a cancer crisis’ that is setting survival rates back by up to 15 years, experts have warned.
A coalition of charities, Royal Colleges and MPs are today demanding an increase in funding for cancer services in order to save lives.
They are calling for government investment so hospitals can tackle the enormous backlog of hundreds of thousands of patients.
NHS data shows tens of thousands of Britons are missing a diagnosis due to disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, which could slash their survival chances. Some 370,000 fewer people have seen a specialist since the pandemic began in March last year than in the previous 12 months”

I remember posting something similar to this on the covid thread a while back and being shot down.
The excuse was that doctors were redeployed to ICU ect, but I'm sorry I see no excuse. Especially when cancer doctors have been speaking up about his for months and months.
As I said before, it seems the only deaths that count this year are covid deaths. They seem to have forgotten that other deaths and illnesses count.
I know of numerous people who can't move and are in agony because their operations have been cancelled, or can't see now because what we're simple eye procedures have been cancelled, and sadly cancer patients that are now on borrowed time.

When I hear that staff were redeployed I have to be slightly sceptical as I've heard first hand that physios were furloughed, that specialists were working from home just ringing patients instead of seeing them.

The government spent millions on the nightingale hospitals. Whilst maybe they couldn't be used as ICU overflow as they didn't have the staff, they could have been used as outpatient facilities where the staff could have been deployed and lives could have been made easier and possibly saved.

I still find it hugely ironic that a GP will see you for your jab, but not a face to face appt - however the nurses will still take bloods ect.
It's all wrong

I know someone who works at a oncology hospital and were very frustrated at the lack of Patience to treat, and felt really bad for the ones that had to stop mid treatment. It was distressing for them. It’s an absolut scandal, as some are specialist hospitals like the one I mentioned and could have continued seeing people with Precautions in place. It’s so sad.

same 😬 oops I did it again 🎵🎶
ive never agreed with how they’ve made covid the one and only illness effecting the population in 2020/2021 😐

a lot say the elderly have been negatively effected the most beca of lockdown restrictions, I’d argue the opposite, they in some ways got treated the best.

I agree with the point of your post - but I just wanted to interject and say that as an allied health professional myself in the NHS I’m very certain that no NHS physiotherapists were furloughed. The ones that couldn’t carry out clinics were redeployed into acute settings or community rehab. Maybe at worst they were doing video assessment but the NHS didn’t put any on the furlough scheme that I know of within my trust or to my knowledge from people in my wider network. Maybe it happened but in very rare cases (perhaps if that physio had a health condition which meant they needed to shield for an extended period of time). Or if that physio was working in such a niche setting their skills couldn’t be transferred possibly 🤷‍♀️ Physios work a lot with the lungs aswell so a lot of them got sent to ICU to do suction and chest rehab.

Totally agree about GPs though. Mine still won’t see me yet I can get my hair done, eyes tested, teeth done, botox done, nails done 😂 Why are they still hiding under the guise of covid?!

Oooo prepare for the onslaught 🙈 Although you may escape that being a mod 😉

While I respect everything they've done this year, I see it from the other side. I see the devastation that it's caused. I've seen people without hearing aids because audiology have shut and no one knows how's to contact them, I see mobility issues, I see them scared to leave their home, or that now they can't because their health has suffered.
I see services cut through commissioner's/ councils having to save money, I see OT's not coming out, I see dementia services not operating and the knock on effect to the person suffering and their families - then as a consequence the police having to get involved where they're wandering the streets at 3am putting themselves and others in danger because services aren't operating. Ive seen their elderly husband/ wife taken into hospital through exhaustion looking after them alone for a year (FYI, carers suffer more and die earlier than the poorly relative because of exhaustion)
I've seen people discharged from hospital with a care plan that wasn't even for them!! That meaning they've missed out on crucial aftercare.
I've seen people with cancer not being able to see a specialist when it's clear their cancer has spread, but only have a phone call instead.
I've seen the elderly go hungry and without medication, or been on medication that needs reviewed but no one will even come out to them - instead some jumped up receptionist is asking them to go to the surgery ... when they can't even get up their bleeping stairs for a wee ffs.
I could go on
Please don't tell me that they've been treated the best, because they bloody haven't!

Maybe it depends on the health authority. I deal with someone who's son is a physio, and have been told that he was furloughed, so can only speak from what I've heard personally to generalise was maybe wrong, but I can only speak from what I've heard myself

and I’ve seen a 6 year old and a 4 year old watch their dad being blue lighted to hospital because his cancer treatment has been delayed, family members have cancer screenings cancelled,
suicides, deaths because treatment for anorexia patients have been suspended (not just the one we saw in the media)
kids missing speech therapy, falling down the cracks of the system, sleeping in cars ffs, getting dinner at the side of the street from a soup kitchen, struggling with their mental health, people lost homes, jobs, lives

hospitals were majority filled with older patients, they didn’t have it easier but the world stalled for Covid, everything stopped for Covid, which effects the elderly more than most.

Exactly, it's anyone who doesn't have covid that has been left behind and that are suffering..
My point was that the elderly haven't been treated the best at all, because it's far from it
