Just Stop Oil activists Phoebe Plummer and Anna Holland threw tomato soup over Van's Gogh's piece.

Yes - it was their co-founder who appeared on a radio show today and got a right grilling from the host and it was uncovered that she used a diesel car. Apparently can't afford to get an electric. Neither can many of us!

Absolutely not.

A substance like acid I would most definately draw the line at.

However much of this has been brought on by the lack of action taken by our Police Forces. If they moved these protesters on within a matter of minutes, not hours, then much of this conflict could be avoided.

Yes, if the police attended and picked them all up and moved them as soon as they arrived instead of pussy footing around them it would be sorted and would cause as much anger as it does.

A lot of people are living paycheck to paycheck, if I lived near the M25 I would probably feel dangerously close to losing my nerve if being trapped in gridlock meant my boss docked my pay. A day's pay is significant and is the difference between affording food for the whole month or not. I understand stuff needs to change for the future but it's always the common Joe Bloggs who gets punished by these protests.

I live near the M25, luckily so far I have not encountered them but I sympathise with anyone who does. The M25 is a nighmare at the best of times let alone when you are trying to go to work or hospital etc. Their protests are not making a dent in the governments plan they are just inconveniencing normal people.

I have been watching some of the videos on twitter and agree with Ingress, I can see it getting violent.

No sympathy from me either and I live no where near the protests so am not affected but I think they are absolute loons and deserve locking up over Xmas.

Love the fact that the police are no longer rushing to them and letting the drivers deal with matters. I have noticed the protesters are asking where the police are when they are being abused, different story from when they are breaking the law. Assholes.

However there are ways and means of doing so, without pissing off the very people you are trying to get on board.

I mean, how is glueing yourself to a train going to help the cause, when public transport is one of the greenest ways of getting about. You just end up pissing off all those delayed as a result.

No wonder the people doing that were getting threats from irate commuters - I would be pretty annoyed too.
