A senior police officer murdered his wife a few streets away from me and tried to make it look like an accident. I got the impression from what was reported that he thought his status in the force would keep him out of jail. Luckily the courts saw it differently. I felt really bad for the adult kids.
Murdering someone and attempting to cover it up is pretty standard practice, and not a trait unique to police officers who kill. And if he thought he would be protected he was very wrong. I was a policeman for many years and believe me nothing, and I mean nothing, is more hated on the job than a corrupt officer. I can only speak for my old force, but the second Couzens, or the man in the example above, emerged as a suspect there would be a team working around the clock to bring them down. No matter how senior.

Who do you think carried out the investigation, arrested the guilty man, and provided the evidence which allowed the courts to reach that conclusion? Well I assume we all know who.

The main reason I do not take these protesters seriously.

The UK is currently responsible for 1-2% of worldwide co2 emissions. Efforts are being made to reduce this to below zero over time - something we are continually not allowed for forget.

Yet these protesters continually seem to be ignorant to the larger producers of co2, namely China, Japan, Russia and the U.S.

Instead they makes peoples lives a misery here for little impact on a worldwide scale. If they are serious about their aims, then they should be going out to these countries and shaming them for their co2 emissions.

However they won't do that, as they are utter hypocrites.

Hasn't free/subsidised insulation been available via government schemes and grants for years? Have they recently dropped this initiative or something? I know this bunch are part of the overall climate change movement, but it just seems a really niche thing to be protesting about.
Yes, they're decades late with this issue. It's been done and sorted. Whenever I've heard them interviewed on the radio they start off talking about insulation and then start banging on about XR issues. They are XR but they have to keep inventing new names to get in the press since most people don't want to hear XR.

Wonder if the nutjob shown in the video getting carried back into Harrods after he spraypainted their windows subsequently fell up a few concrete staircases or helped open the Harrods shoplifter detention cell doors with his face ;)

I'd imagine their patience has grown rather than with all the milk/meat wastage over the last couple of weeks as well.

Why aren't they in work or college? I wish the police would leave them glued

How did they manage to do this without anyone being aware?!
They always, every single time, manage to get into the places where they want to be. Not at all suspicious that!

Here (Germany) tampering with transport has already happened. In my city alone, multiple times, these weirdos have slashed tires of "big cars" during the night, which helps exactly nobody. Victims need minimally 1 new tire, but more likely they need 2 (you need to changed by axis..) or even all 4 replaced, often perfectly good ones. Saw one victim down the road, it was basically a new tire they slashed. nobody is going to get rid of their car because of this either. Some of those absolute tools also slashed electric cars, which I thought were all the rage for them.
The general public need to start fighting back, then. Do a Canning Town on them. Those poor sods who were just needing to get to work to feed their families were having none of it, good! Everyone is too passive and letting themselves be bullied by a bunch of spoiled pampered thugs who are no good to anybody.

Should have thought about this, before breaking the law. No doubt some numpties will contribute to this idiots 'begging bowl'.

I shall be giving nothing, in light of him knowing the consequences, plus his family being worth a few quid. Why isn't his sister tapping them for the money?
Should have been working instead of bumming on a motor way then shouldn't he. Why do these people always expect someone else to pick up the bill?

In Norwich some moron from XR climbed up a huge crane and sat it out for a few days. All they managed to do was tie up an ambulance and a load of police while they sat up there being a dick. It makes me so mad when there are elderly being forced to wait on the floor while some middle class twonk gets their 5 mins of fame. I fail to see how that helped the plant one bit.

I think the government should ban all air travel and use of smartphones. Gaming should be prohibited. All in a good cause to "save the planet".

Let's see how much enthusiasm and zeal would still remain from these ardent activists.

There's a few protesters from Bristol, at least one from Cumbria - and who knows from where else in the country. Surely it was be more environmentally friendly for them to block traffic in their own cities instead of repeatedly travelling down to London.

View attachment 1699784
(figures in mega tons - million tons)

(co2 emissions per person)

Source:
Where is the UK in this list?

Why are these protesters not going to China, the U.S, India, Russia, Japan, or Iran to make their point?

China produces 11.6 billion tons of co2 annually!

They insist on making our lives hell, when the UK is not even a top contributor to co2 emissions worldwide.

Therefore they can just F*** off with their disruptive tactics and blatant criminal activities.
I saw this and was just open mouthEd.

The High Mistress of the movement has no answers at all. She speaks “in metaphors”, wants people to panic based on no scientific paper at all, doesn’t actually understand how science works, and believes China will just follow America’s lead in a massive snowball effect.

This is the face of the “informed generation”?

I’ll die on the hill that Climate Change Activists, and indeed BLM and “trans rights” activists, are basically just far left activists, and many of the older ones probably in their younger years joined picket lines to “protect mining communities“.

Apparently for some of the museum based stunts the activists have walked in with paint rollers and soup cans and got past security... so either security is lax or someone is paying security to look the other way.

Heard a caller phone into the radio presenter on a discussion about the lack of prison cells in the UK.
She was typical of these activist thugs, posh, student age, living off the parents. Long story short when it came to the crunch and the presenter asked what could she have possibly have been jailed for as everything she had recounted about the protest she was involved in so far hadn't involved anything criminal. She then mentioned a police car on fire nearby to where she was standing and giggled 😞
But no! It really didn't have anything to do with her, officer!
She did a stretch for arson. I doubt she even cared if the car was occupied when she did it.
I doubt it would even affect her future career prospects as these people are seen as criminals with morals!! Figure that one out.

Guess he also walked from England to Morocco and Florida. His carbon producing child with her plastic Barbie dollswasn’t his either. :ROFLMAO:

When I talked about going home, he commented that I flew a lot. When we talked about kids his reply was “the Earth was dying”.

He was insufferable like the holier than thou lot preaching.

Carbon net zero will just mean restrictions for us using travel, with no effects for those with private jets.
